Midfielder Joey Long saw limited action for Penn State last year and will look to continue his progress in 2009. A talented graduate of Conestoga High School, Long hopes to see increased playing time as a sophomore.
LION CAREER:
2008:Long played in three games in 2008 and took two shots.
HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL:
Long lettered three times at Conestoga High School and was team captain as a senior. He was a two-time All-League pick and earned All-State honors as a senior. Long was also voted team Most Valuable Player that year after scoring 40 goals and dishing off 22 assists. He helped guide CHS to a 17-4 mark in 2007. Long is the son of Steven and Lucy Long and has two siblings, brother Ryan and sister Rachel. Currently enrolled in the DUS.
