Junior transfer Dave Erwin brings his defensive skills to Penn State after spending the first two years of his collegiate career at the University of Delaware. With a trip to the NCAA tournament under his belt with the Blue Hens, Erwin will be counted on to add veteran leadership to the Nittany Lion defense.
COLLEGIATE CAREER (AT DELAWARE):
2007: Erwin played in two games, grabbing two ground balls.
2006: Did not play in any games for Delaware.
HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL:
Erwin earned three letters at Upper Dublin High School and was team Defensive MVP as a junior and senior. He earned second- and first-team all-league honors and was one of two candidates for league Most Valuable Player. Erwin was team captain as a senior and also lettered in football and swimming. He is the son of Pamela and John Erwin and has a sister, Emilie. His entire family (mother, father and sister) graduated from Penn State. He is an economics major at Penn State.
