Senior Max VanArsdale heads into his final season at Penn State looking to build upon a superb junior year that saw him notch 27 points, his best season output to date. VanArsdale, one of the ECAC[apos]s top attackers, will be counted on to be the offensive quarterback of the squad.
LION CAREER:
2008:The son of Penn State assistant Guy VanArsdale, Max had 27 points off 17 goals and 10 assists in 2008. His goal total tied for the team lead while his 10 assists were second. VanArsdale also collected 19 ground balls and heads into his final year with 56 career points off 32 goals and 24 assists.
2007:VanArsdale played in 11 games for the Nittany Lions in 2007, starting 10. He scored 15 points off eight goals and seven assists and had a .605 shot on goal percentage. VanArsdale also collected 15 ground balls.
2006: Max missed the entire 2006 season after off-season surgery to repair an injured ankle.
2005: VanArsdale played in 15 games for Penn State, starting two. He was seventh on the team in scoring with 14 points off seven goals and seven assists. VanArsdale was second on the team in game-winning goals with two and had eight ground balls.
