2020 • FRESHMAN SEASON

Lafayette (2/1): Made collegiate debut. Saint Joseph’s (2/15): Picked up three ground balls. Yale (2/22): Contributed one ground ball. at Penn (2/29): Tallied an assist, three ground balls and one caused turnover. at Furman (3/10): Picked up two ground balls and caused one turnover.
PRIOR TO PENN STATE
A four-year member of the Gonzaga College High School varsity lacrosse and football team, Sweeney helped guide his team to a 2016 WCAC championship, 2017 WCAC Runner-Up, and 2018 WCAC Championship… Earned third-team All-WCAC in 2017, second-team All-WCAC and second-team All-Met in 2018…Voted team captain for the 2018-2019 season… Five-Year member of the Annapolis Hawks club lacrosse team coached by Matt Hogan…Sweeney played in every high school game since his freshman year.

Parents are Michael and Tracy Sweeney…Has a younger brother, Nick, and a younger sister, Maddie…Father played lacrosse at Salisbury University…Has been playing lacrosse since he was three years old…Majoring in finance.
