2014-15 (Junior Year)
Swam in nine meets, participating in five different events throughout the season…Garnered a first-place finish in the 200 backstroke against West Virginia (10/23)…Notched a season-best 1:46.41in the 200 backstroke at the Georgia Fall Invite (12/7), which was the second-best time of any Nittany Lion in the 2014-15 campaign…Swam a personal-best 1:41.24 in the 200 freestyle at the Virginia Tech Challenge (10/18), while grabbing a personal-best time of 1:47.99 in the 200 individual medley at the Big Ten Championships (2/26)…Achieved NCAA “B” cut time on two occasions in the 200 individual medley during the 2014-15 season…Also nabbed a season-best 49.04 in the 100 backstroke at the conference Championships…Helped the 800 freestyle team to a 6:39.08 finish at the Georgia Fall Invitational, ranking third for PSU in the 2014-15 campaign… Earned Academic All-Big Ten honors.
2013-14 (Sophomore Year)
Swam the 100 back in five meets, the 200 back in four meets and the 200 IM and 100 butterfly in two meets each ... Finished second in the 100 butterfly at the Ohio State Invite (2/8) with a 49.72 ... Swam a career-best 49.53 in the preliminaries of that event ... 50.09 in the 100 back at the Ohio State Invite was the meet's top time, the best 100 back performance of his career and his first collegiate individual event win ... Won the 200 IM later in the day with a personal-best 1:51.77 time ... 1:51.07 in the 200 back at the Texas Invitational (12/7) was also a personal best.
