2021-22 (Sophomore Year)
- Villanova (1/28): Second in the 1000 Free (9:33.65).
- West Virginia (10/16): Finished third in the 500 Free (4:40.46), helping the Nittany Lions to sweep the event.
2020-21 (Freshman Year):
- Big Ten Championships (3/1-3/6): Swam a personal-best in the preliminary events in the 200 free (1:40.37), 500 free (4:30.25) events. Finished 31st overall in the 1650 free with a career-best time (15:47.22).
- Michigan State (2/5-2/6): Placed third in the 1000 free (9:25.32).
- vs. Northwestern and Iowa (1/22-1/23): Earned fourth-place in the 1000 free with a career-best time of 9:22.26. Swam for a personal-best in the 200 free (1:41.40)
High School
Brewer was a three-time letter winner at Bishop Moore Catholic High School under coach Jeandre Pretorius while also being named team captain in his final season. He won the Florida State Championship in the 500 freestyle and placed second in the 1500 freestyle at the 2018 futures championships. Brewer won team MVP in three of his seasons, and was named a USA Swimming Academic All-American.
Personal
Brewer, whose full name is Zachary Michael Brewer, is the son of Mike and Vanessa Brewer and has a younger brother Ethan Brewer. He enjoys hanging out with his friends, playing video games and shooting hoops when not in the pool or classroom. Brewer aspires to be a finance executive following the completion of his business degree from the Smeal College of Business at Penn State University.
