Season: Qualified to the NCAA East Region Prelims for the first time as a Nittany Lion…Set the No. 3 outdoor pole vault mark in school history at 13-8.25 (4.17m).
UCF Knights Invite (3/22-23): Bounced back from a tough showing at indoor Big Tens with an outstanding first meet of outdoor season…Won the pole vault with a 4.15m clearance. Jim Thorpe Invitational (5/3): Set the third-best mark in school history, going 4.17m, to win the Jim Thorpe Invitational. Big Ten Outdoor Championships (5/10-12): Placed ninth in the conference with a 3.97m mark. NCAA East Region Prelims (5/22-25): Cleared 4.10m for 26th place in the region.
2024 Indoor
Season: Tied the No. 3 indoor pole vault mark in school history in her second meet as a Nittany Lion…Cleared 4.00 meters or better in five straight meets.
Nittany Lion Challenge (1/13): Recorded a season-best 4.18-meter mark, the third-highest clearance in school history, to win the Nittany Lion Challenge. Simmons-Harvey Invitational (1/20): Cleared 4.00m to win the event. Tiger Paw Invitational (2/9-10): Finished sixth with a 4.10m clearance, her fifth consecutive mark at or above 4.00m.
BEFORE PENN STATE
At Cornell: Was a two-time NCAA East Prelims qualifier at Cornell where she set the school records in both the indoor and outdoor pole vaults…Won the 2022 Ivy League outdoor pole vault title with her program and Ivy League record-setting clearance of 13-9.25 (4.20m)…Won the 2022 Ivy League pole vault indoor title…Also earned second and fourth place in Ivy League competition in 2023…Earned multiple academic awards during her time with the Big Red.
High School (Scranton Prep): Lackawana district pole vault record holder…2019 PA State Championship silver medalist in the indoor pole vault…Earned All-America honors in the pole vault.
PERSONAL
Graduated from Cornell with a degree in biology and society with minors in both health inequality studies as well as nutrition and health…Studying for a master’s degree in health administration at Penn State…Daughter of Timothy Atkinson and Angela DeAntonio…Hobbies include baking, hiking, and horticulture…Chose Penn State because of “…it’s academic rigor and athletic excellence.”
