One of the greatest athletes to wear the Blue and White in any sport, Shana Cox is in her second year with the Nittany Lion track and field staff after one of the most decorated careers in program history. Cox capped off her outstanding NCAA career in 2008 with NCAA titles in the 400-meters and 4x400-meter relay. Cox[apos]s PR 50.84 in the 400 was not only a Penn State record, but the fastest mark among collegiates in 2008. As a senior Cox anchored the 4x400 to an undefeated outdoor season, including wins at the historic Penn Relays, the Big Ten Championships, and the NCAA East Regional Championships. All told, Cox finished her storied career as an 11-time NCAA All-American, 15-time Big Ten Champion, and an eight-time Penn State record holder. Cox is currently finishing her graduate work in Human Resource Management and will continue to compete professionally.
