On the National Stage... || 2014 Outdoor || Qualified for the 2014 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the decathlon competition ... Qualified for the NCAA East Prelims in the high jump event ... A member of the 4x400-meter relay team that finished 15th at NCAA East Prelims, just over a second shy of qualifying for the NCAA Championships ... At the 2014 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships, Cardina garnered First Team All-America honors as he placed eighth with his lifetime-best score of 7,666 points, which makes him the first Penn State student-athlete to be named an All-American in the decathlon since 1998 and it is also the highest Penn State finish in the decathlon at the NCAA Championships since Dave Masgay placed seventh in 1987 ... Cardina also broke his own school record for points on the first day of the decathlon (4,087) ... Ran a lifetime-best time of 10.87 in the 100-meter dash ... His score of 7,666 points in the decathlon ranks second all-time in the Penn State record books ... His time of 49.49 in the 400-meter dash was the fourth-fastest in the decathlon event

At the Big Ten Championships... || 2016 Outdoor || Recorded a ninth-place finish in the javelin throw with a mark of 61.55m (201'-11") || 2016 Indoor || Recorded a 15th-place finish in the high jump with a best clearance of 2.03m (6'-8") || 2014 Outdoor || Finished third in the decathlon with his score of 7,619 points ... In the decathlon, Cardina won two events (400-meter dash and the javelin throw) and placed second in three events (high jump, 100-meter dash, and the 110-meter hurdles) || 2014 Indoor || Placed fourth in the heptathlon with his lifetime-best score of 5,511, which is also the school record ... Before Penn State... || High School || Picked up a pair of All-State finishes at the PIAA Outdoor Championships as a senior, placing sixth in the 300 hurdles and seventh in the high jump ...Won both the 110 and 300 hurdles at the Lebanon-Lancaster League Championships in 2012 ... Placed second at his league meet in the high jump, clearing a PR 6-8 ... Finished sixth in the high jump at Penn Relays senior year ... Was the state runner-up as a junior ... Boasts bests of 14.32 in the 110 hurdles, and 38.55 for the 300 hurdles
