2024 Outdoor
Season: Qualified to the NCAA East Region prelims in the 1500m in his final season with the Nittany Lions.
Pepsi Florida Relays (3/29-30): Ran a 1:49.63 in the 800 and a 3:42.19 to open up his outdoor season. Bryan Clay Invitational (4/11-13): Posted a 3:40.59 season-best mark in the 1500m. Virginia Challenge (4/19-20): Dropped a 1:48.99 in the 800m and helped the Nittany Lions’ 4x400 group finish tenth with a 3:15.01. Big Ten Outdoor Championships (5/10-12): Finished ninth in the Big Ten in the 1500m with a 3:48.39 in the final. NCAA East Region Prelims (5/22-25): Finished 33rd in the region in the 1500m with a 3:46.42 in the prelims.
2024 Indoor
Season: Finished second in the Big Ten in the mile and third in the DMR, claiming his second and third career Big Ten medals.
Nittany Lion Challenge (1/13): Kicked off his indoor season with a 2:22.42 in the 1K, finishing second. Penn State National Open (1/26-27): Posted his first sub-4:00 mile since 2022 with a 3:58.63 (sixth place) in one of the most competitive mile races in the country in January 2024…Helped the DMR squad cross the line in 9:43.46 to finish fourth. David Hemery Valentine Invitational (2/9-10): Ran his second consecutive sub-4:00 mile, lowering his season best to 3:56.23. Big Ten Indoor Championships (2/23-24): Won silver in the mile with a 4:06.17 effort in the final…Added a bronze medal in the DMR, as his team posted a 9:44.32…Finished just outside of a third scoring outing, as he placed ninth in the conference in the 3K with an 8:02.66.
2023 Cross Country
Season: The unquestioned leader of Penn State’s 2023 squad, Dorenkamp finished first on the Nittany Lions in every competition in 2023, a season highlighted by a Paul Short Run win and his second Mid-Atlantic All-Region honor…Dorenkamp secured PRs in both the 8K and 10K distances.
Spiked Shoe Invite (9/8): In his first competition of the season, Dorenkamp placed seventh overall with a 25:43.5. Lehigh Paul Short Run (9/30): Set an 8K PR with a 23:53.7 to earn the overall win…Dorenkamp became Penn State’s first individual winner of the Paul Short Run since Che Arosemena in 1996. Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invite (10/13): Won the men’s open race through the driving rain, earning his second-straight win. Big Ten Championships (10/27): Just missed an All-Big Ten nod with his 17th-overall finish…Clocked a 24:53.0 to lead the Nittany Lions to a sixth-place result in the conference. Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships (11/10): Finished 16th overall with a 29:59.0, his 10K PR, earning his second-career Mid-Atlantic All-Region cross country honor.
2023 Outdoor
Season: Dorenkamp had his best season as a Nittany Lion, earning First Team All-America honors in the 800-meter run at the National Championship meet with an eighth-place finish…Finished as the Big Ten Silver Medalist in the 1500…He also set the No. 6 1500-meter time in school history at the Florida Relays with a 3:40.30…In the summer, he competed at the USATF National Championships in the 1500 meters, recording a 3:44.31 for 26th place overall.
Hurricane Collegiate Invitational (3/25): Ran in both the 800 and 1500 events, finishing top-five in both…Clocked a 3:49.51 to win the 1500 and finished fifth in the 800 with a 1:51.48. Florida Relays (3:40.30): Ran a collegiate PR in the 1500, a 3:40.30 effort for fifth place. Bison Outdoor Classic (4/14-16): Set his 800-meter PR with a 1:48.47 to win the event at Bucknell. Penn Relays (4/27-29): Ran in the third-fastest 4x800 relay in Penn State history…Helped clock a 7:12.96 for second place in the Championship of America event. Big Ten Outdoor Championships (5/12-14): Crossed the line in 3:43.06 for second place in the 1500 meters. NCAA East Prelims (5/25-27): Finished 11th at the prelims, qualifying for the NCAA outdoor Championships for the second time in his career (2021 - 800 meters) NCAA Championships (6/7-10): Qualified for the 1500 finals as the last to move on, just 0.02 seconds ahead of the 13th-place finisher in the prelims (3:40.34)…In the finals, Dorenkamp finished in eighth place in a strategic race, claiming First Team All-America recognition with a time of 3:44.20.
2023 Indoor
Season: Easing back from an injury, Dorenkamp completed just one 800-meter competition during the 2023 indoor campaign.
Music City Challenge (2/10-11): Ran a 1:54.74 in the 800m, his first competition in months due to injury.
2022 Cross Country
Season: Set a personal-best time over five miles (25:17.6) at the Joe Piane Invitational, his only competition of the season.
2022 Outdoor
Season: Placed eighth at the Duke Invitational (4/7-9) in 800m with 1:49.71 run.

Season: Earned Second Team All-America honors in the mile…Placed in the top 10 in every regular-season race, setting personal bests in 1000m, 3000m, and mile...His program-record mile time of 3:55.02 was the ninth-fastest in the nation.
Nittany Lion Challenge (1/15): Ran the fifth-fastest indoor 3K time in school history, winning the race in 8:01.84. Penn State National Open (1/21-22): Clocked the fourth-fastest 1K in Penn State history, his second-straight historic outing…Won the event with a 2:21.33. Sykes & Sabock Invitational (1/29): Won the mile by over a half-second with a 3:57.15. Music City Challenge (2/11-12): Became the fastest miler in Penn State history with a 3:55.02, over two seconds faster than Robby Creese’s 3:57.11 mark from 2013…Finished fourth in the event. Big Ten Indoor Championships (2/25-26): Placed sixth in the conference with a 4:09.33 in the mile. NCAA Indoor Championships (3/11-12): Clocked a 4:02.35 in the mile in his first NCAA Indoor Championships appearance, earning Second Team All-America recognition.
2021 Country Country
Season: Earned Mid-Atlantic All-Region honors with a 17th-place finish at the regional championship meet…Had three top-10 finishes in all three regular-season starts.
Dolan Duals (9/2): Set personal best 6K time at 18:11.0 in the season-opening event. Penn State National Open (10/15): Took first in 5.2-mile race at 25:26.9. Big Ten Championships (10/29): Came in 16th in the conference with a 25:17.9 over 5.2 miles. Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships (11/12): Clocked a 10K PR for 17th place in the region, going 30:51.0 to earn a spot on the Mid-Atlantic All-Region team.
2021 Outdoor
Season: Qualified for his first NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 800…Finished fourth in the Big Ten in both the 800 and 1500 events…Recorded nine top ten finishes for the Nittany Lions.
Maryland B1G Invite (3/26-27): Finished top-three in the 800 and 4x400 relay…Clocked a 1:49.95 in the 800 in his first outdoor competition with the Nittany Lions following the COVID-19 impacted 2020 year, finishing third overall…Helped his group finish second in the 4x400, stopping the clock at 3:23.34. Big Ten Invite #2 (4/9-10): Ran a 3:47.36 in the 1500 for eighth place. Fighting Illini Big Ten Relays (4/23): Placed third in the 1500 and the 4x800 relay…In the 1500, went 3:47.90…Clocked a 7:33.07 in the 4x800. Ohio State Jesse Owens Invitational (4/30-5/1): Win the 1500 meters in 3:47.90 for his first collegiate outdoor victory…Came in fifth in the 800 at 1:52.35. Big Ten Outdoor Championships (5/14-16): Placed fourth in both the 800 (1:49.62) and 1500 (3:52.75)…Set a season-best in the 1500 in the prelims with a 3:44.29. NCAA East Prelims (5/26-29): In his first NCAA East Prelims, finished with a season-best 1:49.11 in the 800 to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships. NCAA Outdoor Championships (6/9-12): Clocked a 1:50.39 in the 800, finishing 20th in the nation.

Season: Won the mile run with a time of 4:01.91 at the Nittany Lion Opener in his only appearance of the season.
2020 Cross Country
Season: Took place in January 2021 due to COVID-19 pandemic…Finished 26th in the Big Ten conference with a 24:44.6 PR in the 8K.
