2018-19: Named an Academic All-Big Ten honoree...Competed in all 11 events…Set a new program standard with a 72.89 stroke average during 28 rounds with four top-10 finishes and a low-round score of 67 (5-under), accomplishing that feat twice in the same season and three times in her career…Tied for second at Nittany Lion Invitational (Sep. 22-23) with a three-round score of 3-under 213…Led Penn State in final round of Princeton Invitational (Sep. 29-30) at 1-under 71 to finish 2-over 146 and tie for sixth place overall…Shot 5-under 67 in final round of Bettie Lou Evans Invitational (Oct. 5-7) setting a career 18-hole low…Became only the fourth Nittany Lion in program history to record a 67…Set a 36-hole school record during the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational with a total of 9-under 135...With seven birdies and one eagle in final round, finished tournament in second with a career-low 9-under 207, the second lowest 54-hole total in school history…Named Big Ten Women’s Golfer of the Week (Oct. 10)…Fired a 3-under 69 in final round of UCF Challenge (Feb. 5)…Finished Memphis Intercollegiate tied for sixth with a 54-hole score of 2-over, 215 (April 1-2)…Completed career with a 5-under 67 during final round of Big Ten Championship (Apr. 21) finishing in a tie for 24th at 4-over par, 148.
2017-18: Competed in all nine tournaments during her junior season with a 73.62 stroke average during 26 rounds and a low round score of 67 (-5)… Tied for second in the Nittany Lion Invitational (Sep. 23-24) with a three-round score of two-under 214… Shot three-under 69 in the third round of the Blue Hen Invitational (Oct. 21-22) and finished the tournament in fourth place overall with a three-round score of 220 (plus-4)… Finished tied for 10th shooting even to par (216) at the Briar’s Creek Invitational (Mar. 19-20)… Shot her season low-round (67) of the season in the third round of the Big Ten Championship (Apr. 20-22)… Completed the championship four-under 212 and tied for fourth ... earned an individual spot in the NCAA Madison Regional (May 7-9) finishing tied for 42nd in the 96-player field with a 220 (plus-4).
2016-17: Competed in all 10 matches during her sophomore season with a 75.93 stroke average during 28 rounds with a low round score of 71 … Finished tied for 10th in the Nittany Lion Invitational (Sep. 24 – 25) where she achieved a three-round score of 225 (plus-9) … Shot under par, 71 (-1), in the second round of the Cougar Classic (Oct. 2 - 4) … Tied for 11th during the River Landing Classic (Mar. 9 – 1) where she finished with a three-round score of 222 (plus-6) … Achieved her second top 10 finish during the Lady Buckeye Invitational (Apr. 15 – 16) where she tied for 10th with a three-round score of 223 (plus-7).
2015-16: As a newcomer, Basso competed in seven out of ten tournaments in the 2015-16 season, tied for second most on the team, including starting all tournaments held in the spring season. Shot a 69 in the third round of the Briar's Creek Invitational, which was tied for the second lowest round score on the team. Basso had the fifth best round score average on the team at 77.24.
Junior/Amateur Career
Spent 2014 traveling to play in AJGA, IJGT and PGA Junior Series events. Basso was very successful in junior events, earning four top-five finishes in 2014. Basso was also a force in her time at Villa Maria Academy, winning the 2014 AACA Golf Championship as an individual.
