Minnesota (2/3): Tallied a 39.350 in the all-around…Went 9.85 on vault, 9.75 on bars, 9.9 on beam, and 9.85 on floor as Penn State scored a 197.025 at home against the Golden Gophers. at Nebraska (2/17): For the first time in her career, she scored 9.8+ marks on each of her four events in the all-around. Ball St., Towson, WVU (3/1): Totaled a career-best 39.375 in the all-around to win the title…Her scores including 9.875s on both floor and beam, as well as a 9.85 on vault and a 9.775 on bars. at Southern Utah (3/8): Reeled off the second of four-straight 39.350+ all-around totals in the best stretch of her initial campaign in Happy Valley…Tied her career high with a 9.9 on beam…Added 9.825s on vault and bars, and a 9.8 on floor. at NC State w/Penn, Texas Woman’s (3/10): Secured another 39.350 in the all-around with 9.85s on vault and bars and 9.825s on beam and floor. at George Washington w/Rutgers, Towson (3/17): Went 9.9 on vault for a career high…Added a 9.85 on beam, a 9.825 on floor, and a 9.775 on bars for her fourth-straight 39.350+ all-around. Regional Second Round (4/4): Bounced back from a tough outing at the Big Ten Championships with yet another 39.350 all-around tally, this time in her first NCAA competition…Recorded a 9.85 on vault, a 9.775 on bars, a 9.875 on beam, and a 9.85 on floor to help the Nittany Lions advance to their first-ever Regional Final. Regional Final (4/6): Scored 9.8s on vault and bars, and added a 9.825 on beam with a 9.725 on floor in her final meet of her freshman season with the Nittany Lions.
GYMNASTICS BACKGROUND
McElligott was coached by Tammy Marshall, Kelly Roughan, and Annia Hatch at Infiniti Elite…She was a national qualifier in 2022, finishing 9th in the all-around…In 2021 and 2022, she was the level 10 regional all-around champion…She placed sixth in the all-around, including a second-place performance on bars, at level 10 Nationals in 2021.
