2024 – SOPHOMORE SEASON
 
Awards: Big Ten All-Championships Team…Academic All-Big Ten.
Season: Qualified for the NCAA Championships (balance beam) for the first time in her career…Earned a spot on the Big Ten All-Championships team…Posted three 9.95 floor scores in an outstanding sophomore campaign.
 
Meet-by-meet: at Penn w/Pitt, Temple (1/5): Tallied a 9.8 on beam in the first meet of the season. Michigan State (1/19): Recorded a 9.875 on floor and a 9.85 on beam in a solid home outing. at Rutgers (1/25): Scored 9.8+ marks on all three of her events…Earned a 9.8 on vault, a 9.8 on beam, and a 9.875 on floor…Tied teammate Ava Piedrahita for the floor title. Minnesota (2/3): Scored a career-best 9.95 on floor, tying teammate Isabella Salcedo for the event title…The pair became the first Nittany Lion teammates since 2001 to each earn a 9.95+ on floor in the same meet. at Ohio State (2/9): Put together an excellent performance, tallying a career-best 9.95 on beam (tied for event win), a 9.9 on floor, and a 9.8 on vault. Big Fives (2/24): Earned a season-best 9.9 on vault, a 9.825 on beam, and a 9.875 on floor. at NC State w/Penn, Texas Woman’s (3/10): Won the floor title with her second 9.95 of the season…Also collected a 9.875 on beam and a 9.825 on vault. At George Washington w/Rutgers, Towson (3/17): Took the floor crown once again with her third 9.95 of the season…Also scored a season-best 9.925 on beam to win the title on the event. Big Ten Championships (3/23): Went 9.9 on floor and 9.85 on vault at Big Tens, earning herself a spot on the All-Championships team. Regional Second Round (4/4): Posted perhaps her best overall meet of the season, scoring 9.9s on beam and floor, along with a 9.875 on vault…Her 9.9 on beam qualified her to the NCAA Championships as an individual competitor. Regional Final (4/6): Scored another 9.9 on beam, along with a 9.8 on floor and a 9.775 on vault. NCAA Championships (4/18): Recorded a 9.7875 on beam in her first NCAA Championships appearance.

2023 – FRESHMAN SEASON
Awards: Preseason Big Ten Gymnast to Watch.
Season: Competed in ten meets for the Nittany Lions, achieving a 9.925 on both beam and floor in her first collegiate campaign.
 
Meet-by-meet: at Keystone Classic (1/6): Started her collegiate career with three scores of 9.8+, including a season-best 9.925 on the balance beam. Rutgers (1/30): Scored three 9.8+ scores once again, including a 9.875 on floor…Went 9.8 on beam and vault as well. Nebraska (2/10): In the last routine of the night, went 9.925 (career-best) on floor to put Penn State over Nebraska by .025 points. Pittsburgh Regional I and II (3/30-31): In her first competition in over a month, scored 9.85s on the floor on both days of the Pittsburgh Regional…Helped her team set the Penn State program record total in regional competition at 196.825.
 
GYMNASTICS BACKGROUND
Competed for North Stars Gymnastics for coaches Ashley Umberger and Heather Moroz...Two-time Level 10 National Qualifier in 2019 and 2022, including a 2022 third-place all around finish in 2022...Region 7 Level 10 Regional Champion in floor exercise and vault in 2022...New Jersey State Champion in floor exercise.

PERSONAL
Parents are Marissa and Kimani Herring...Father, Kim, was a Penn State football standout from 1993-96 at safety...Kim Herring also played in the NFL 1997-2004 for the Baltimore Ravens, St. Louis Rams and Cincinnati Bengals, including winning Super Bowl XXXV in 2000 with the Ravens as a starting safety and also played in Super Bowl XXXVI with the Rams...Has two siblings: Maori and Tristan...Majoring in nutritional science.
