Summer 2007: Jaime swam a limited schedule over the summer, swimming in three different competitions but in only six combined races at those events. She swam in the 200, 400 and 1500 freestyles at the Grand Prix series Charlotte Ultraswim, logging a 23rd place finish in the 1500 free. She made the finals of the 400 free and placed 11th at the Mid-Atlantic Senior Championships and also swam in the 400 free at U.S. Nationals.
2006-07: Jaime was a part of the large Nittany Lion contingent of talented distance freestyle swimmers last year, swimming almost exclusively in the 200, 500 and 1650 freestyles. In fact, she swam in only four other races other than her swims in her three main events the entire year. She swam an NCAA `B[apos] qualifying time in the 500 free and just missed qualifying for NCAA[apos]s with that time. Jaime scored points at Big Ten[apos]s for the Nittany Lions with a 16th place finish in the 1650 free. She also finished just one spot out of the scoring with a 17th place showing in the 500 free and also swam her career best in the 200 free at Big Ten[apos]s. Her best finish of the year was a third place finish in the 500 free at the dual meet vs. Ohio State._Meet-by-Meet Highlights: Placed fifth in the 200 free and was on the fifth place 400 free relay team at the dual meet at West Virginia....Finished eighth in the 1000 free and 10th in the 500 free at the Clemson/Virginia/Virginia Tech/Penn State quad-meet....Picked up points for Penn State in the 500 free (10th place) and the 1500-meter free (9th place) and also swam in the 200 free, posting her second-fastest career time (converted time) in it at the Bell Grand Prix....Came in third in the 500 free and was on the fifth place 200 free relay team at the dual meet vs. Ohio State....Placed eighth in the 500 free and eighth in the 1650 free at the Shamrock Invitational.
2005-06: Jaime swam in both short and long distance freestyle events throughout her freshman year. She had most of her success in the longer distance races, as she took ninth in the 1650 freestyle and sixth in the 500 freestyle at the Big Ten Championships. She was one of four Penn State swimmers to finish in the top 10 in the 1650 free and one of four Nittany Lions to place in the top eight in the 500 free. Also at the Big Ten Championships, she swam her best times of the year in the 200, 500, and 1650 freestyle events. She captured one first place finish as a member of a relay team during the season._Meet-by-Meet Highlights: Finished fourth in the 500 free and fifth in the 200 free at the Indiana/Ohio State/Penn State tri-meet....Placed second in the 1000 free in the dual meet with Kenyon....Part of the second place 400 free relay team in the dual meet with Rutgers....Finished fourth in the 100 free to pick up points for Penn State in the meet vs. St. Bonaventure....Picked up Penn State points with a fifth place finish in the 1650 free in the meet at Florida....Placed 13th in the 1650 free at the Ohio State Invitational to gain points for the Nittany Lions....Came in second in the 500 free and was on the first place 400 free relay team in the dual meet vs. West Chester....Finished third in the 100 free in the dual meet vs. West Virginia.
High School: Jaime swam for the Cy-Fair Swim Club and coach Clayton Cagle. A native of Houston, Tex., she graduated from Langham Creek High School Keily is a veteran of the Junior Nationals. In 2003, she competed in the 200, 400 and 800 freestyle plus the 400 IM. A_year later she competed in all those events plus the 1500 freestyle.
Personal: Keily lists being with friends outside the pool, movies, music and reading as hobbies. She is the daughter of Jim and Ali Keily and has one brother, Andrew. Keily plans on majoring in journalism at Penn State.
