• Impressed at Ohio State (1/29-30) - in first official action since the Ohio State Invitational nearly two months earlier - by placing third in both the 100 freestyle (51.05) and 200 freestyle (1:50.93). Also posted two 'NCAA B' times in winning the 200 freestyle relay (1:32.42) while finishing second in the 400 freestyle relay (3:23.52). Strong in the 200 (1:43.96) and 400 (3:47.31) medley relays as well, finishing second in both events.
• Posted a season-best time in the 50 freestyle (23.45, preliminary) at the Ohio State Invitational (12/4-6), finishing eighth. Also came in fifth in the 100 freestyle (51.16) and 14th in the 200 freestyle (1:50.90, preliminary) while competing in four relays - 400 freestyle (third, 3:25.11), 800 freestyle (fifth, 7:28.51), 200 medley (sixth, 1:45.74) and 400 medley (seventh, 3:50.20).
• Won the 200 freestyle with a season-best time of 1:50.89 against Virginia (11/20-21). Also finished second in the 100 freestyle (51.59) and eighth in the 50 freestyle (24.19) along with first in the 400 freestyle relay (3:26.40), second in the 200 freestyle relay (1:33.24) and third in the 400 medley relay (3:48.13).
• Had strong performance at Virginia Tech (10/31), finishing fourth in the 50 freestyle (24.13) and second in the 100 freestyle (51.87), 200 freestyle (1:51.33) and 400 freestyle relay (3:25.52).
• In home-opener against West Virginia/Colgate (10/24), placed second in the 100 (51.64) and 200 (1:52.64) freestyles while winning the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:25.49.
• Won the 100 (52.72) and 200 (1:55.52) freestyles while also swimming in the 200 freestyle relay (1:38.23) in the season-opener at St. Bonaventure (10/13).
SUMMER 2009: Competed at the U.S. Swimming Championships in Indianapolis, finishing 28th in the 50m freestyle (26.17). 2008-09 (JUNIOR YEAR): Had an outstanding season finishing in the top 10 a whopping 95 percent (42 of 44) of the time ... Impressed in the Big Ten Championships, highlighted by three top-five finishes, in the 200 freestyle relay (fifth, 1:30.98), 400 freestyle relay (third, 3:18.40), and 800 freestyle relay (7:11.02), all marking season bests ... Also thrived in individual competition, finishing ninth in the 50 freestyle with a preliminary time of 22.82 and 14th with an NCAA `B' Qualifying Cut of 23.08. Swam to an `A' Cut time of 49.70, finishing sixth in the 100 freestyle. Also posted season-best time of 1:49.41 in the 200 freestyle ... Finished the season with 10 first-place finishes: 100 freestyle against Rutgers (51.42), 200 freestyle relay against Villanova/Pittsburgh/Maryland (1:33.61) and Ohio State (1:33.98), 400 freestyle relay against Virginia/Florida State (3:23.14) and Villanova/Pitt/Md. (3:25.76), 200 medley relay against Villanova/Pitt/Md. (1:45.36) and West Virginia (1:45.81), and 400 medley relay against Villanova/Pitt/Md. (3:45.01), Ohio State (3:46.28) and Richmond (3:50.93) ... Had a huge performance at the Ohio State Invitational (12/5-7) with times good enough for the NCAA `B' Qualifying Cut in the 400 freestyle relay (3:19.52), 800 freestyle relay (7:17.11), 200 medley relay (1:41.32) and 400 medley relay (3:39.96). Finished second, second, third and second, respectively ... Named an Academic All-Big Ten honoree. 2007-08 (SOPHOMORE YEAR): Was instrumental in relays and made great strides on individual freestyle sprints ... Best times came at the Big Ten Championships for a second consecutive year, posting top times in the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 200 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relays ... Named to the Academic All-Big Ten Winter Honors list ... Finished 16th in the 100 free at Big Ten's, posting a career-best time ... Was a part of two relay teams (200 and 400 free) that finished fifth and sixth, respectively ... Best times of the year came at the Big Ten Championships, in the 50, 100 and 200 free as well as the 200 free relay ... Had team's third fastest times of the year in both the 50 and 100 freestyles. Finished with one first-place finish, three second-place finishes and five third-places ... At first collegiate meet, placed third in the 200 free and was a part of the third-place 400 free relay team at West Virginia ...
