Awards: Big Ten Freshman of the Week (2/18).
Season: Compiled an 8-3 (4-0 dual) singles record in her freshman campaign... Earned victories on courts three, four and six in nonconference play... Excelled in doubles competition with a 10-3 (6-0) mark in doubles competition to give herself a perfect record in dual matches... Went 4-0 in doubles alongside Jordina Cegarra... Reached the top 32 in singles at the ITA Northeast Regional as well as a doubles quarterfinals appearance alongside Monfils.
Match-By-Match: Martha Thorn Invitational (10/3-5): Earned first career singles and doubles victories...Secured a singles win against Liberty’s Aranai Martinez (6-4, 7-5) while pairing with Jordina Cegarra for a doubles win over Duquesne (6-3). ITA Northeast Regional (10/9-14): Advanced to the round of 32 in singles after starting in the prequalifying draw...Took down Lehigh’s Giselle Vlassis (6-4, 6-1), Rutgers’ Savannah Cohen (5-7, 6-4, 7-6) and Rider’s Claire Brown (6-4, 6-4) along the way...Reached the doubles quarterfinals alongside Maelie Monfils...The pair earned wins over Columbia’s Sophia Wang/Emily Baek (withdrawal), Villanova’s Lauren Monti/Jenna Stevens (8-4) and Stony Brook’s Elena Lobo Corral/Paisha Douglas (8-2). Villanova (1/18): Picked up the first doubles and singles dual match victories of her career...Paired with Jordina Cegarra for a 6-0 court three doubles win before earning a court six singles triumph, 6-0, 6-3. Saint Francis (1/18): Playing alongside Cegarra, the duo earned a 6-3 court two doubles victory while Cox secured a court four singles win over Helena Lynn, 4-6, 6-2, 10-6. Mercyhurst (2/8): Picked up a court three singles win against Kiersten Brown (6-4, 6-3) as well as a court two doubles victory with Maria Daciana Ciubotaru over Brown/Ellyana Jacobs (6-1). Mount St. Mary’s (2/8): Competed with Monfils on court three in doubles, taking down Margherita Trolese/Eirini Tsakiri (6-1). St. Bonaventure (2/15): Paired with Cegarra to defeat Sienna Smith/Kelly Barnes (6-2) before earning a dominant court four singles win against Kashish Bote (6-0, 6-0). Marshall (2/22): Clinched the doubles point with a court three triumph over Nour El Ouazzani/Johanna Strom (6-2) in tandem with Cegarra.
