Earned a 5-5 singles mark in Big Ten play with all five wins serving as match-clinchers... Won 11 doubles matches, seven in dual contests... Picked up two Big Ten doubles triumphs with Brianna Baldi and one with Jordina Cegarra... Advanced to the top 16 in singles and the doubles quarterfinals at the ITA Northeast Regional.
Match-By-Match: Martha Thorn Invitational (10/3-5): Took home singles wins against Virginia’s Melodie Collard (6-1, retirement) and West Virginia’s Julie Bousseau (6-4, 7-6)...Paired with Maiko Uchijima the Mountaineers’ Zuzana Kudlackova/Julie Bousseau (6-1). ITA Northeast Regional (10/9-14): Advanced to the singles round of 16 with wins against Seton Hall’s Anastasia Sereda (6-4, 6-0) and Delaware’s Paulina Jurkowska (6-3, 6-3)...Reached the quarterfinals on the doubles front with Brianna Baldi, besting Columbia’s Michelle Li/Margaret Hui (8-4), Saint John’s’ Charlotta Buss/Giulia Bizzari (8-6) and Rutgers’ Mai Nguyen/Naomi Karki (8-4). No. 25 Yale (3/1): Clinched the Nittany Lions’ victory with a triumph against Erin Ha on court six (6-2, 6-2). Michigan State (3/8): Clinched her first of five Big Ten victories in a row with a court five singles win against Oriana Parkins-Godwin (6-1, 6-1)...Paired with Baldi for a court three doubles triumph over Amara Brahmbhatt/Nina Plihal (6-2). Michigan (3/8): The tandem of Ciubotaru and Baldi earned their first ranked victory together over No. 68 Piper Charney/Emily Sartz-Lunde (6-3). at Charlotte (3/23): Teamed with Jordina Cegarra to clinch the doubles point on court three against Prisca Abbas/Lucia Aranda (6-3).
