- Matt Rudisill returned to his alma mater as an Assistant Director of Strategic Communications in October of 2022.
- Rudisill handles the day-to-day communications and public relations efforts for Penn State's Track & Field/Cross Country programs as well as its Women's Gymnastics squad. Additionally, Rudisill is a secondary sport contact for Penn State Football and Penn State Men's Basketball.
- In his second season at Penn State, Rudisill witnessed Cheickna Traore complete one of the greatest sprint seasons in school history, culminating in an NCAA title in the outdoor 200-meter dash. In women's gymnastics, Rudisill covered the team's advancement to the NCAA Regional Finals, the team's best season in nearly a decade.

Football won the 2023 Rose Bowl Game, men's basketball won its first NCAA Tournament game in over a decade, and both track & field and women's gymnastics produced NCAA All-Americans.
