TEAMWORKS

Teamworks serves as the primary communication medium for scheduling academic appointments (MAC Adviser, Learning Services, tutoring, academic coaching, etc.), tracking weekly study hall hours and center use, requesting course feedback, and sending out updated travel information to faculty from the Morgan Academic Center.

CANVAS

Canvas is the central Learning Management System for Penn State, offering a secure environment for faculty to store and provide access to course content. Canvas integrates numerous tools to enhance teaching and learning, such as syllabi, announcements, quizzes, discussion forums, chat, and others. It also offers a robust mobile app, efficient grading tools, and integrations with third-party plug-ins.

STARFISH

Starfish is a student success system that aims to help students finish what they start. At Penn State, Starfish integrates with our student information system (LionPATH) and is the main system for advising notes, progress surveys, and academic reviews, as well as for students to connect with their personal network of success services.

Starfish is a powerful tool that helps us identify students in need of support in real time, connects students to the resources designed to help them, simplifies communication between members of students’ support networks, eases the burden on students who need to contact support services, and forms the structure for student success.
