Jamelle Cornley, Milos Bogetic and Clay Scovill visted a local food bank on Thursday and dropped off canned food collected before Penn State's game with Nicholls State earlier this season. Cornley scored 17 points in the Nittany Lions' 75-71 win over UMKC on Wednesday night; Penn State next plays at Pitt Saturday at 2 p.m.

State College, Pa., Dec. 8, 2005 - Penn State freshman Jamelle Cornley, Milos Bogetic and Clay Scovill loaded up a van and delivered approximately 500 pounds of non-perishable food items to the State College Area Food Bank Thursday afternoon. The food items were collected during Penn State's 93-56 victory over Nicholls State on Nov. 23. Penn State fans donated the food items at the gate and received entrance to the game for contributing three cans of food.

"It feels good to be able to do something for the community, especially during this time of year," Cornley said. "We appreciate the fans coming out to our games and are glad we can do something to be a part of the community."

The Food Bank provided over 11,000 bags of groceries to families in need in the State College area last year.

Cornley (17 points) and Bogetic (14 points and 10 rebounds) were coming off career-high nights on Wednesday as the combined with sophomore Mike Walker, who also posted a career-high with 17 points, to score 48 points off the bench in Penn State's 75-71 victory over Missouri-Kansas City in the Bryce Jordan Center.

Penn State (4-2) on the year hits the road for the second time this season Saturday as they take on state rival Pittsburgh at 2:00 p.m. at the Petersen Events Center.
