Lions Round Out Regular Season at Navy... Ninth-ranked Penn State (12-3-3, 8-1-1 Big Ten) travels to undefeated Navy (18-0-0) Thursday night for a 7 p.m. match-up. The match will be the last regular season match for the Nittany Lions before they host the Big Ten Tournament on Nov. 2-5 at Jeffrey Field. The Nittany Lions just clinched their ninth-straight Big Ten title and will be the No. 1 seed in the tournament.

Fan Advisory: Parking at the Navy Game... Fans traveling to the Penn State/Navy women's soccer game Thursday are reminded that they will not be able to drive onto the yard for the 7 p.m. match in Annapolis. All fans are asked to either park downtown and walk onto the yard, or park at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium and take a shuttle to the Academy. Parking will be $5. Directions to all facilities can be found at Navy's Website, www.navysports.com.

The Navy/Penn State Series... The Nittany Lions hold a 3-0 record against Navy since the two schools began the series in 2003 during the NCAA Tournament first round. Penn State shut out the Mids last year, 5-0, scored a 1-0 decision over Navy in 2004 and won 5-1 in the initial meeting. This is the first time the match-up has taken place in Annapolis.

Lions?? Championship Streak Noteworthy... By clinching the 2006 Big Ten title on Sunday, Penn State pushed its championship total to nine-straight. The streak is now tied with Indiana women??s tennis for the second-longest in Big Ten women??s championship history. Northwestern tennis has a chance to make it a three-way tie this spring, and sits third with eight consecutive titles. The conference is celebrating its 25th Anniversary of Big Ten Women??s Championships this year.

Reaching New Heights... Last weekend, the Lions won their 100th Big Ten regular season game since entering the conference in 1994. Over the past 12 years, Penn State has won nearly 87 percent of its conference games and has posted a mark of 100-12-7 all-time, after a 8-1-1 overall record this year.

Home Win Safe One More Year... Penn State extended its Big Ten regular season home win-streak to 40-straight when the Lions beat Northwestern, 2-1, on Oct. 24 to capture their ninth straight Big Ten title. Penn State tied Michigan, 0-0, on Sept. 19, 1999, and has not lost a conference regular season game at home since Oct. 1, when then-No. 17 Minnesota beat the Lions 2-0 (53 straight games). Penn State??s all-time Big Ten regular season record at home is 58-1-3.

Penn State In the Top 10... For the first time since the week of Sept. 25, Penn State is back in the Top 10 in all four polls. The Nittany Lions remain ninth in the NSCAA poll and are also ranked No. 9 in the SoccerTimes poll. Soccer America has the Lions ranked 10th, while SoccerBuzz ranks the team highest this week at No. 8.

Three Lions Back in their Home State... It??ll be a homecoming of sorts for three Lions on Thursday when the cross the Mason-Dixon Line and compete at Navy. Senior Heather Tomko (Manchester, Md.), redshirt-sophomore Zoe Bouchelle (Cockeysville, Md.), and redshirt-freshman Ashley Myers (Bel Air, Md.) all hail from the state of Maryland.

Long Receives Triple Honors... Sophomore Allie Long (Northport, N.Y.) scored five points in two wins to help the Penn State women??s soccer team to its ninth consecutive Big Ten championship, earning her first Big Ten weekly honor. In addition to the kudos from the conference (Long garnered Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week), she also earned a spot on Top Drawer Soccer??s Team of the Week and Soccer America??s Team of the Week. Long score two goals and added the assist on the Lions?? game-winner over Northwestern on Sunday to bring the championship home.

In addition to the game-winning assist in the Northwestern game, Long scored the Lions' second goal in the 3-0 win over Wisconsin, helping solidify the first of two victories for Penn State on the weekend. Versus Northwestern, Long used her only shot of the day to tie the game and then lent the gamewinning assist on Denay Riley's (Washingtonville, N.Y.) goal to complete the comeback from a two goal deficit and capture the Lions' ninth consecutive Big Ten title, tying it for the second longest streak in Big Ten women's championship history.

Tiffany Weimer to Be Honored at the Temple Football Game... Big Ten all-time leading goal scorer Tiffany Weimer will be honored during the Temple football game for receiving the 2005-06 Suzy Favor Big Ten Female Athlete of the Year Award. She is only the second women??s soccer play, along with 2001 Hermann Trophy winner Christie Welsh, to ever receive the honor.


Penn State to Host Big Ten Tournament... The 2006 Big Ten Women??s Soccer Tournament comes to Jeffrey Field as the Nittany Lions have home-field advantage for the first time in eight years. Ticket prices and game times have been set for the tournament, hosted by Penn State University from November 2-5.

All-session tickets, which include admission to all tournament games, went on sale September 18, 2006, and may be ordered through the Penn State ticket office by calling 1-800-833-5533 or locally at 814-863-1000.

Tickets are $15.00 for all-session adult passes and $10.00 for youth, senior citizen and student all-session passes. All ticket orders will carry a $2.00 handling fee.

Single day passes will be sold at the gate during each game. Adult tickets purchased the day of will be $6.00 each, with youth, senior citizen and student tickets $4.00 each and a group rate set at $3.00. Groups are defined as 10 or more persons. There are no age requirements for members of the groups.
