UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; November 3, 2006 - Former Penn State women's soccer standouts Joanna Lohman and Erin McLeod are currently representing their countries in South Korea at the 2006 Queen Peace Cup.

Lohman played a full match against Australia, helping the United States to a 2-0 victory, and saw time as a reserve in the 2-0 win over the Netherlands. That win guaranteed the US a spot in the 2006 Queen Peace Cup championship game, which will be held on Saturday, Nov. 4, at Seoul World Cup Stadium. McLeod started all three matches in goal for the Canadian National Team, winning each of them to advance to the finals where they will meet the United States at 1:30 p.m.local time (11:30 p.m. ET).

While at Penn State, Lohman was a runner-up for the M.A.C. Hermann trophy and a three-time NSCAA All-American. McLeod is in the record books as one of the best goalkeepers ever to wear the blue and white. She was named NSCAA All-American in her senior year, helping her team to a College Cup appearance.

The Nittany Lions will host the Big Ten Tournament this week at Jeffrey Field. As the top seed, Penn State will match up against No. 8 Northwestern at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 2, in the third quarterfinal of the day, as the Wildcats posted a 4-5-1 conference record.
