Penn State Women to Meet UCONN in Fox Soccer Channel Tilt

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State's women's soccer game at Connecticut on Sept. 6 will be broadcast by the Fox Soccer Channel as part of an on-going agreement between FSC and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). The match between the seventh-ranked Nittany Lions and the No. 16 Huskies will kick-off at 8 p.m. ET. The match is one of several Penn State women's soccer games that will be televised this season including selected matches on the new Big Ten Network, which will announce its schedule in the next few weeks.

Penn State's match kicks-off Fox Soccer Channel's live and exclusive NSCAA College Match of the Week coverage that will include eight women's matches played on Thursdays and nine men's matches on Fridays.

The Nittany Lions continue preseason camp leading up to its season-opener on Aug. 31. Penn State hosts Delaware at Jeffrey Field this Saturday, Aug. 25, at 4 p.m. in its only exhibition game of the season. The Nittany Lions' tune-up will be followed by a men's exhibition game vs. St. Francis at 7 p.m. The defending Big Ten champions travel to No. 24 Tennesee on Friday, Aug. 31 for an 8 p.m. match. Their First Tennessee Lady Vol Classic action continues through Sunday, Sept. 2 with a 10:30 a.m. match vs. Central Florida. After the Connecticut game on Sept. 6, Penn State continues its road schedule at No. 21 West Virginia on Sunday, Sept. 9 for a 1 p.m. start. The Nittany Lions finally return home for the Penn State Invitational on Friday, Sept. 14 and Sunday, Sept. 16. West Virginia and Texas A&M start action at 5 p.m. with Penn State and James Madison meeting at 7:30 p.m. The fifth-ranked Aggies and seventh-ranked Nittany Lions square-off in a Top 10 battle on Sunday at 1 p.m. to finish Invitational action.
