UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - After grabbing her first Big Ten weekly honor and adding Penn State Student-Athlete of the Week accolades to her list of achievements, redshirt-junior Zoe Bouchelle (Cockeysville, Md.) has been named to the Soccer America National Team of the Week and the Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week. Bouchelle scored the game-winning goal in last Friday's match against Michigan State and contributed an assist for the game-winner Sunday against Michigan.
So far this season the midfielder has two goals and three assists, accumulating seven total points- all in Big Ten play. She is the third member of the Penn State women's soccer team to be recognized for distinguished play with a weekly ward thus far this season.
The Maryland native had one goal and one assist in each game this weekend to help the Nittany Lions continue to stay undefeated in Big Ten play. With her six points in this weekend alone, Bouchelle had a hand in every goal.
Bouchelle and the Nittany Lions (11-2-1) will look to continue their 10 game unbeaten streak this weekend as Penn State takes on Iowa (6-4-4) on Fri. Oct. 19 at 8 p.m. ET in Iowa City, Iowa and Minnesota (7-6-1) on Sun. Oct. 21 at noon ET in Minneapolis, Minn. Sunday's contest against Minnesota will air tape-delayed on the Big Ten Network on Mon. Oct. 22 at 8 p.m.
