Piscataway, N.J. - The Penn State women's swimming and diving team wrapped up its regular season on Saturday with a convincing 203-94 dual meet win over Rutgers. The win gives Penn State a perfect 11-0 record in dual meets for the second straight year and is their 25th straight dual meet win, dating back to 2006. Penn State won 13 out of the 16 events contested on the day.
Kaitlin O'Brien led the way for Penn State by winning two events, the 200 freestyle and the 200 breaststroke. In both of those events, Penn State took the top four spots in the event. In the 200 free, Sarah Baker, Kailey Morris and Molly Crispell finished second through fourth after O'Brien while in the 200 breast, O'Brien was followed by Caitlin Meehan, Clare Clemens and Abby Hoisington.
Michelle Myers also won two events as she took first in both the 50 free and the 200 backstroke and she was followed in second place by Daphne Skelos in the 200 back, exactly one second behind Myers.
Kelly Nelson was also a two-event winner as she won the 500 free, in which she was followed in second by Stephanie Roop, and the 200 butterfly, in which Karie Haglund and Alex Young followed in second and third.

Other winners for Penn State included Michelle Myers in the 50 free, Kaitlyn Ferguson in the 100 back, Caitlin Meehan in the 100 breast, Roop in the 1000 free and Haglund in the 400 IM. In the 400 IM, Clemens and Lyndsey Smith finished second and third behind Haglund.
In the diving events, Courtney Adlam followed up her two first place finishes yesterday against West Chester with one more first place finish Saturday on the three-mete springboard, scoring a 294.22, surpassing her previous season high that she set yesterday by a slim .15 of a point. She also finished second on the one-meter with a 248.70.
Penn State's two relay teams also put up first place finishes. The 200 free relay team of Molly Crispell, Lindsey DeForrest, O'Brien and Erin Luley won in 1:37.28 while the 200 medley relay team of Ferguson, Meehan, Nelson and Myers won in 1:43.62.
Other highlights for the women included DeForrest and Luley placing second and third, respectively, in the 100 free.
The women's team will now be off until February 21-23, when they will compete at Big Ten Championships in Columbus, Ohio.
