Penn State Uplifting Athletes' Dunk Tank To Benefit Kidney Cancer Association

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; - Penn State Football Uplifting Athletes announced today that current and former Penn State Football student-athletes will be participating in a dunk tank fundraiser outside of Beaver Stadium during Blue-White Weekend.

The current and former Nittany Lions will be in the dunk tank Friday, April 18 from 4-7 p.m. and Saturday April 19 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Kickoff for the Blue-White Game is 2:00 p.m. and there is no admission or parking fee.

The proceeds raised at the dunk tank event will benefit the Kidney Cancer Association.

Penn State Football Uplifting Athletes has raised more than $230,000 for the kidney cancer awareness and patients since the 2003 Penn State Lift for Life. More than 30,000 Americans are afflicted with kidney cancer each year. Last year, a record total in excess of $80,000 was raised by members of the Penn State football team for the Kidney Cancer Association.

The date of the 2008 Penn State Football Lift for Life will be announced later this month.
