Lincoln, Neb. - The 17th-ranked Penn State women's gymnastics team fell at No 12 Nebraska, 195.325-194.625, Friday night in Lincoln, Neb. Junior Brandi Personett (Katy, Texas) captured her third all-around title of the season as she posted a 39.300 to take the title.

As a team, the Nittany Lions posted scores of 48.975 on vault, 48.425 on bars, 48.400 on beam and 48.825 on floor. The Huskers recorded scores of 48.875 on vault, 48.575 on bars, 48.700 on beam and 49.175 on floor.

Along with Personett, freshman Whitney Bencsko (Pompton Plains, N.J.) finished fourth in the all-around, her fourth top-five finish of the season.

Penn State opened up the meet on the uneven bars, as freshman Natalie Ettl (North Prairie, Wis.) finished third with a 9.750. Personett tied for fourth with fellow junior Alexandra Brockway (Macungie, Pa.) as both posted a 9.700 and freshman Alex Stine (Philipsburg, Pa.) placed eighth with a 9.625. Bencsko and junior Rosie Smith (Waterford, Pa.) rounded out the Penn State performers with two 9.625s to tie for ninth. Nebraska's Kylie Stone and Brittnee Habbib earned top honors with scores of 9.825 and 9.800, respectively.

On vault, Personett fell just shy of her career best with a first-place and season-high 9.950 as Smith tied for third with a 9.800. Brockway and junior Casey Rohrbaugh (Spring Grove, Pa.) tied for seventh with a 9.750 as sophomore Danielle Hover (Hamburg, N.Y.) recorded a ninth-place 9.725 and Bencsko posted a 9.175.

Personett claimed her third first-place finish on floor as she recorded a season-high-tying 9.925. The Huskers came on strong on floor, claiming five of the top six finishes. Smith claimed seventh place for the Nittany Lions with a 9.750 while Bencsko and sophomore Heather McElwee (Ponte Vedra, Fla.) each recorded an eighth-place 9.725. Rohrbaugh notched a 9.700 for 10th as freshman Daryl Konsevick (Rutherford, N.J.) posted a 9.625.

The Nittany Lions rounded out the meet on the balance beam, as Personett recorded a third-place 9.725 to lead all Penn State competitors. McElwee, Bencsko and Brockway all tied for fifth with a 9.675 while sophomore Melissa Klein (Oceanside, N.Y.) and Rohrbaugh recorded scores of 9.650 and 9.625, respectively. Nebraska's Tricia Woo took home the title with a 9.850.

Penn State returns home to host its first quad meet of the year when it welcomes William & Mary, Cornell and Pennsylvania on Feb. 7 at 7:00 p.m. at Rec Hall.
