Feb. 6, 2009

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - This week's episode of "Courtside with Coquese" follows the Lady Lion Basketball team as they pull away with a huge victory at home against Wisconsin. It was a tough battle that brought the teams into overtime and junior guard Tyra Grant clinched the win with a buzzer-beater shot to end the game.

The show also celebrates two milestones, including Brianne O'Rourke's 1,000th point. The senior guard from Pittsburgh hit the shot in a triple-overtime contest versus Iowa. Also, Lady Lion radio play-by-play announcer Jerry Fisher celebrated his 750th career game last week. In his 30th season, Fisher is the longest tenured women's basketball announcer in Division I, according to a poll conducted by UNLV.
