UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State women's soccer team (5-5-1, 1-1-0) faces Northwestern (4-6-2, 1-1-1 Big Ten) at Jeffrey Field on Friday for a 7:00 p.m. clash. PSU leads the all-time series 15-2 over the Wildcats entering the match, which will welcome campus fraternities and sororities for Greek Night at Jeffrey Field.
Penn State will look translate Sunday's upset win over Ohio State into a winning streak as PSU holds a 12-game winning streak over Northwestern. The Nittany Lions are led offensively by the trio of Danielle Toney (12 points), Christine Nairn (11) and Katie Schoepfer (10).
PSU wraps up its three-game home stand with a morning match against Iowa on Sunday. Kick off is slated for 11:00 a.m. against the Hawkeyes at Jeffrey Field and is the CODE BLUE promotion for fans, who are encouraged to wear blue.

LASTTIMEOUT: Penn State let loose one of its finest performances of the 2009 season with a 2-1 win over Big Ten rival and 15th-ranked Ohio State on Sunday. Christine Nairn had a tally from a Katie Schoepfer assist for a lead just seven minutes before halftime and Schoepfer added a penalty-kick goal down a player. Alyssa Naeher made five saves in net for the Nittany Lions who broke OSU's seven-game winning streak.
NAEHER, NAIRNHONORS: With the upset win over the nationally ranked Buckeyes, two Lions-Alyssa Naeher and Christine Nairn- earned Big Ten Weekly honors. Naeher garnered her third Defensive Player of the Week award of 2009, while Nairn picked up her first Freshman of the Week honor.
SCOUTINGTHEWILDCATS: The Wildcats (4-6-2, 1-1-1 Big Ten) enter Friday's game after a 2-2 tie with Michigan, where NU ralled from a two-goal deficit. Leading the way offensively is Alicia Herczeg with four goals. In net, Carolyn Edwards has played every minute, making 38 saves with a .691 save percentage and a goals against average of 1.36. The Wildcats are 1-4-1 on the road in 2009.
SCOUTINGTHEHAWKEYES: Iowa dropped a tough 1-0 overtime match at home against Wisconsin last week, putting the Hawkeyes in last at 0-2 in the conference. Iowa has been out-scoring opponents by a 1.33 goal margin this season. Leading the offensive display is Keli McLaughlin with 15 points (7G, 1A). Alyssa Cosnek and Alyscha Mottershead each have three goals and four assists for 10 points this season. Emily Moran has started every game garnering 51 saves, five shutouts with a .864 save percentage and 0.69 goals against average.
SCORINGSTREAKS: Katie Schoepfer and Christine Nairn have picked up the offense, combining to score the team's last five goals dating back to Sept. 20 vs. James Madison. Nairn has tallied the three of the goals, while Schoepfer provided two of them, including Sunday's game-winner over Ohio State. The duo rank second and third, respectively, behind Danielle Toney in goals and points.
