UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - After having the bye date on Thursday, the Penn State Lady Lions (10-4, 2-2) return to action at the Bryce Jordan Center to face Indiana (9-6, 2-2) on Sunday at noon. The game will be televised on the Big Ten Network. The first 1,000 fans will receive a Nikki Green reusable grocery bag and Sunday is also a Subway Full Court Four Pack for the Lady Lions.

The four-pack includes four game tickets, four sodas and four vouchers for a 6" Subway sub at any State College location (BJC excluded) for just $40. TV/RADIO: The game will air on the Big Ten Network with Leah Secondo and Theresa Grentz calling the action. LAST TIME OUT: The Lady Lions were on fire from the field, shooting a season-best 56.4% (31-for-55) on the way to a 88-68 win over Northwestern on Jan. 3. Senior Tyra Grant led four Lady Lions in double figures with 20 points for the 33rd career 20-point game. Freshman guard Alex Bentley was 6-for-9 from the field on the way to 15 points, while senior Meredith Monroe and freshman Marisa Wolfe added 10 points apiece. Wolfe was a perfect 5-for-5 from the field as she set a career high in scoring. She also nabbed personal bests of three steals and four rebounds.
SCOUTING INDIANA: The Hoosiers are 9-6 overall and 2-2 in Big Ten play, including a last-second win over Illinois Thursday night. Junior Jori Davis leads the team and is fourth in the Big Ten in scoring at a 17.2 per game clip. She also pulls in 6.5 rebounds per game. Jamie Braun is also averaging double figures for IU with an 11.4 scoring average, while Sasha Chaplin leads the team in rebounding (7.3 rpg).
ALL-TIME VS. HOOSIERS: The Lady Lions are 24-8 all-time against the Hoosiers, but Indiana has won five of the last six meetings between the teams. Penn State is 13-2 all-time in home games against Indiana. The Hoosiers swept the Lady Lions last season with an 84-77 victory in Happy Valley on Jan. 11 and a 65-55 win in Bloomington on Jan. 29.
LAST TIME VS. IU: The Lady Lions got off to a hot start, but could not sustain the momentum in a 65-55 loss at Indiana on Jan. 29. Tyra Grant had a game-high 18 points, six rebounds and a pair of assists. Julia Trogele notched her second double-double of the season with 15 points via a 6-for-9 shooting performance and 10 rebounds.
SHOOTING LIGHTS OUT: The Lady Lions connected on a season-best 56.4% of their shots with a 31-for-55 effort from the field in an 88-68 win over Northwestern on Jan. 3. The mark is the highest shooting percentage for a Lady Lions team since knocking down 58.8% (30-for-51) of their shots against Maryland on Dec. 3, 2003. The 88 points scored were the most for the Lady Lions since a triple overtime loss to Iowa on Feb. 1, 2009.
WOLFE ON THE PROWL: Freshman Marisa Wolfe showed how scrappy she can be with a career game off of the bench against Northwestern on Jan. 3. The forward was 5-for-5 from the field on the way to a career-high 10 points. She also nabbed a personal-best three steals and equaled her career mark with four rebounds.
ZHA IN CHI-TOWN: Guard Zhaque Gray earned the start for her first time playing in front of her hometown fans at Northwestern on Jan. 3. The sophomore drained a trio of three-pointers on the way to nine points. She also accounted for two rebounds and a blocked shot in the win.
PHILLIPS PUSHES LIONS: Sporting a black eye that she got in practice two days earlier, sophomore Emily Phillips made every shot she took (3 field goals and two free throws) on January 3 against Northwestern as she secured a career-high nine points. She also propelled the Penn State offense with seven assists.
The Lady Lions travel to Iowa on Thursday, before returning to the Bryce Jordan Center on Sunday, Jan. 17 to face Michigan State at 1 p.m. on Autograph Day. The 2010 WBCA Pink Zone at Penn State will take place on Sunday, Jan. 24 at 1 p.m., as the Lady Lions take on Illinois in the Bryce Jordan Center. The game can be seen on www.bigtennetwork.com. The first three Pink Zone events have raised more than $80,000 for breast cancer awareness. This year's fundraising efforts will benefit the Mount Nittany Medical Center, Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute, Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition and the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund.
