UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The No. 7 Penn State men's volleyball team (10-2, 4-0 EIVA) travels to Princeton on Friday, Feb. 26 to take on the Tigers. Action is set for 7 p.m. in Princeton's Dillon Gymnasium.

Penn State Preview
The Nittany Lions travel to Princeton, N.J. on Friday for their first of two meetings with the Tigers. Action is set for 7 p.m. in Princeton's Dillon Gymnasium.

Penn State is fresh off 3-0 sweeps of Ball State and IPFW on Feb. 19-20. Redshirt sophomore setter, who shared time against Ball State with sophomore Tor Covello, guided the Nittany Lions to a .513 hitting percentage. Penn State averaged 16.83 kills per set, 16.00 assists per set, 0.67 aces per set, 9.50 digs per set and 3.75 blocks per set. Senior Will Price contributed a team-best 4.50 kps, while redshirt sophomore Joe Sunder and senior Max Lipsitz each had 4.00 kps. Lipsitz led the team in hitting percentage attacking at a .786 clip. Goas dished out 13.60 assists per set and Covello averaged 9.00 in two sets. Price led the team in digs with 3.00 dps and Lipsitz had a team-high 2.33 bps.

Penn State vs. Princeton
Penn State is 38-2 all-time against the Tigers. In 2009, the Nittany Lions defeated Princeton twice, sweeping the Tigers on March 27 (30-20, 30-23, 30-27) and again on April 10 (30-16, 30-19, 30-18). Princeton's two wins against the Lions came in 1998. The Tigers secured a 3-0 (15-13, 15-13, 16-14) win against the Lions on March 27 and again swept PSU on April 16 in the EIVA Tournament by set scores of 15-7, 15-13, 16-14.

Notes on the Tigers
The Tigers head into Friday's match with a 4-4 overall record. Friday's match with the Nittany Lions is just the second conference match of the season for Princeton. The Tigers have wins against NJIT (3-0), NYU (3-2), Harvard (3-0) and Rutgers-Newark (3-1). Princeton's one conference match was played against Springfield with the Tigers suffering a 3-0 setback. Junior Vincent Tuminelli leads the team with 4.11 kills per set, while sophomore Scott Liljestrom is averaging 13.29 assists per set. Senior Jeff McCown, a middle blocker, is putting up an average of 1.32 blocks per set.

What's Next?
The Nittany Lions remain on the road for a match at Ohio State on March 3. Penn State takes on the Buckeyes at 7 p.m. The Lions return home on March 6 for a match with George Mason in Rec Hall's South Gym with action set for 7 p.m.
