"We are all anxious to go back to the Canes and Cardinal Classic," head coach Denise St. Pierre said. "I know I have some freshmen in the lineup but the team played well there last year and is excited about returning."

Junior Brianna Malcolmson (Murwillumbah, Australia) will lead the Nittany Lions in the Canes and Cardinal Classic as she recorded a career-best 68 in the third round of last year's tournament.

Junior Gia Fanelli (West Palm Beach, Fla.), who averages 79.6 strokes, will start along with junior Giulia Carando (Torino, Italy).

"We have had a couple weeks of good solid practice which has helped the confidence in our games," said St. Pierre. " We look forward to competing in Miami before we head into the Big Ten portion of our spring schedule."

The field will consist of 10 teams. St. Pierre expects host Miami to be one of the teams to beat. The tournament will be held at Don Shula's Golf Resort in Miami Lakes and will start on Monday, April 5 and conclude on Tuesday, April 6.
