UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Several NCAA automatic-qualifiers, as well as a handful of meet and facility records highlighted a bevy of outstanding results, Friday night at the Penn State National, at Ashenfelter III Indoor. The Nittany Lions enjoyed an stellar first day of competition, including a second-place finish from senior Shavon Greaves (Lakewood, N.J.) in the 60-meter dash, and fourth-place standing from sophomore Evonne Britton (El Paso, Texas) in the 60-meter hurdles. Penn State also saw several notable efforts in the field events, with sophomore Logan Caldwell (Ebensburg, Pa.) finishing fourth in the men's 35-pound weight, and junior Bianca Fung (North Babylon, N.Y.) turning in a third-place finish in the long jump.

The Penn State National results will also feature prominently in this season's NCAA rankings, with a trio of NCAA-automatic qualifying coming on Friday, including Maryland's Kiani Profit in the women's pentathlon (4109), Tennessee freshman Justin Hunter (26-1.50/7.96m), and Hampton's Reggie Dixon (6.58).

Greaves and Britton headlined the sprints, led by Greaves' second-place finish in the 60, where she clocked a season-best 7.33 to finish as the top collegian in the field. Britton held her own in a top-notch field, putting up a lifetime-best 8.22 to place fourth overall. Britton's effort also ties her with former Nittany Lion Toyin Augustus for the second-fastest performance in school history.
