UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., - One of the nation's premier spring football events, Penn State's Blue-White Game presented by AAA, can be seen and heard nationwide on Saturday, April 16. Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m. in Beaver Stadium.
As in previous years, there will be no admission or day of game parking fee for the Blue-White game. Early arriving RVs will park in Lots 19/20 beginning at 8:00 a.m. and the fee is $60 for the weekend (cash only). Stadium parking lots will open at 8:00 a.m. and stadium Gates A and B will open for fans at 12:00 p.m. for the popular autograph session with the Nittany Lion Football student-athletes. Stadium gates C and E will open at 12:30 p.m.
The contest will air live on the Penn State Sports Network and www.GoPSUsports.com with Steve Jones and Jack Ham on the call. Head coach Joe Paterno also will be part of the broadcast. More than 20 Penn State Sports Network affiliates will carry the game, including ESPN Radio 1450 and WBUS (93.7) in the State College area.

The Blue-White Game also will air on the Big Ten Network at 9 p.m. ET on Saturday. Frank Giardina and former Nittany Lion standout Michael Robinson will call the action. Robinson, the 2005 Big Ten Silver Football winner, is a five-year National Football League veteran, playing with the Seattle Seahawks in 2010.
The Blue-White Game presented by AAA will re-air on Big Ten Network on April 17 (9:00 a.m.), April 18 (8:00 p.m.) and April 20 (10:30 p.m.).

One of the highlights of the Penn State sports calendar, Blue-White Weekend presented by AAA is April 15-17 with numerous free, fan-friendly events adjacent to Beaver Stadium. The celebration of Penn State football will include the pre-game autograph session, the announcement of the spring football award winners as well as the recipients of the PNC Bank "Player of the Game" from last season.
The Blue-White Game presented by AAA is one of the nation's most popular spring football contests. The attendance record has fallen three of the past four years, with an estimated crowd of 76,500 flocking to the 2009 contest. More than 40,000 fans have attended the game in 12 of the past 15 years, with rainy conditions during the other three contests.
The Penn State baseball, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse and women's tennis teams also will be competing at home during Blue-White Weekend presented by AAA. The baseball team hosts Purdue on Friday (6:35 p.m.), Saturday (5:00 p.m., Big Ten Network) and Sunday (1:05 p.m.) at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, across the street from Beaver Stadium.

Since the start of the 2005 season, Penn State has earned a 58-19 (75.3) record, tied with Oregon for No. 12 in the nation. Over the past six years, the Nittany Lions have won two Big Ten Championships, won four bowl games and played in five New Year's or Bowl Championship Series (BCS) games, the nation's third-highest total.
The Nittany Lions return 15 starters for the 2011 season, (7 offense, 7 defense, 1 specialist), as well as 17 players that have starting experience. Penn State opens its 125th season Sept. 3 vs. Indiana State in Beaver Stadium and Alabama visits Happy Valley on Sept. 10 for the first time since 1989.
