All-Big Ten Football Selection Special Airs Monday on BTN

CHICAGO; November 27, 2011 - BTN will present the exclusive, live announcement of several Big Ten football awards during the All-Conference Selection Special at 7:30 p.m. ET on Monday.

For the fifth straight year, Dave Revsine will host the show, alongside analysts Gerry DiNardo and Howard Griffith. Select award winners will be interviewed during the 60-minute program.

The show will reveal the All-Big Ten teams as selected by both the coaches and the media. The Big Ten will also debut an enhanced football awards program, with 17 end-of-season honors bearing the names of some of the greatest players in conference history.

Ten individual position trophies will be unveiled on the BTN's All-Conference Selection Special, including the Griese-Brees Quarterback of the Year, Ameche-Dayne Running Back of the Year, Richter-Howard Receiver of the Year, Kwalick-Clark Tight End of the Year, Rimington-Pace Offensive Lineman of the Year, Smith-Brown Defensive Lineman of the Year, Butkus-Fitzgerald Linebacker of the Year, Tatum-Woodson Defensive Back of the Year, Bakken-Andersen Kicker of the Year and Eddleman-Fields Punter of the Year.

Former Penn State All-Americans Courtney Brown (Defensive Lineman) and Ted Kwalick (Tight End) are among the conference trophy honorees.

The Ford-Kinnick Leadership Award and the Dungy-Thompson Humanitarian Award will be announced via press release by the Big Ten Conference on Tuesday. The Graham-George Offensive Player of the Year, Nagurski-Woodson Defensive Player of the Year, Hayes-Schembechler Coach of the Year (coaches vote), Dave McClain Coach of the Year (media vote) and Thompson-Randle El Freshman of the Year will be announced via press release by the Big Ten Conference on Wednesday.

The Big Ten Network is available to more than 75 million homes through agreements with more than 300 cable, satellite and telco providers in all 50 states and Canada. Armstrong, Blue Ridge and Adams Cable, though, do not carry the Big Ten Network in Pennsylvania and the Youngstown and Medina, Ohio areas. More than 35,000 Penn State alumni live in the communities served by the three cable providers in Pennsylvania and the Youngstown and Medina areas, in addition to thousands more fans and current Penn State students.

Armstrong, Blue Ridge and Adams Cable customers are missing more than 110 Penn State events on BTN during the 2011-12 academic year, in addition to coverage from 15 conference championships.

Penn State (9-3, 6-2) shared the Big Ten Leaders Division Championship with No. 15 Wisconsin. The No. 23 Nittany Lions are eligible to participate in their 44th bowl game and rank No. 3 nationally with 27 bowl victories.
