Big Ten Network to Air Seven Winter Championships in HD

CHICAGO; - The Big Ten Network will televise seven winter Big Ten Championships, starting Saturday, Feb. 26 with the Big Ten Women's Swimming and Diving Championships. The schedule also includes wrestling, men's and women's gymnastics, men's swimming and diving, and men's and women's indoor track and field.

The Big Ten Wrestling Championships and Men's and Women's Gymnastics Championships will be carried live on the network, and all seven of the events will be produced in high definition.

Coverage begins at 11 a.m. ET on Saturday, Feb. 26, with the Big Ten Women's Swimming and Diving Championships from Indiana University. The Big Ten Men's Swimming and Diving Championships will air at 10 a.m. ET on Sunday, March 6, from Minneapolis.

Also on March 6, the second day of the Big Ten Wrestling Championships will be carried live from 4-7 p.m. ET from the campus of Northwestern University. No. 4 Penn State was 17-1-1 in dual meets this season and will be one of the primary challengers for the Big Ten title.

The Big Ten Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships will air back-to-back, starting at 2 p.m. ET on Saturday, March 12. The University of Illinois will host the men's event with the women's event taking place in West Lafayette, Ind., to be televised at 4 p.m. ET.

The Big Ten Network will televise the Big Ten Women's Gymnastics Championships live at 3 p.m. ET on Saturday, March 19, from the University of Minnesota. The network will have live coverage of the Big Ten Men's Gymnastics Championships on consecutive nights at 8 p.m. ET on Friday, April 1, and Saturday, April 2, from Champaign, Ill.

The Big Ten Network will have live coverage of Penn State-Ohio State women's gymnastics meet at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26. Coverage of the Penn State-Ohio State men's gymnastics meet will air on the network at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 5.

In addition to the Big Ten winter championships, the Big Ten Network will have live coverage of three more Penn State basketball games during the next two weeks, in addition to live coverage of the conference tournaments (women's, March 3-6; men's, March 10-13):

- Sunday, Feb. 27 - Lady Lions vs. Northwestern, 12 p.m. tip (4 p.m. air)
- Tuesday, March 1 - Nittany Lions vs. No. 2 Ohio State, 9:00 p.m
- Sunday, March 6 - Nittany Lions at Minnesota, 1:00 p.m.
