UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - After a two-week break in their spring schedule, the Nittany Lions will travel to French Lick, Ind., for the 2012 Big Ten Championship. The three-day, 72-hole tournament will be contested at the 7,152-yard, par-72 Pete Dye Course at the French Lick Resort, April 27-29
2012 BIG TEN MEETINGS
The tournament marks the second spring event, which has featured the entire Big Ten Conference. All teams met up in Bradenton, Fla., in February for the Big Ten Match Play Championship.
The Nittany Lions experienced split results at the tournament, losing the first round in a tiebreaker to eventual winner Northwestern and winning the second round 3.5-2.5 to Michigan State.
PENN STATE AT THE BIG TENS
At last year's championship, Penn State came in ninth with junior Jay Woodward leading the way, shooting a 5-over-par 293 at the Kampen Course. This year Penn State will seek to better it's team finish and capture the automatic bid into the NCAA Regional Tournament.
