UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - The #15/14 Penn State Lady Lions (2-1, 0-0 Big Ten) close out their season-opening homestand when they host intrastate foe Bucknell (1-2) Wednesday at 7 p.m. It is Club Sports and Fitness Night in the BJC where the Penn State Club Sports athletes will be honored at halftime and fans that show their fitness center membership card and get a ticket for $5.

PROMOTIONS: Fans that show their fitness club membership card will get a $5 ticket offer. The Lady Lions will recognize those Club Sports athletes that compete for Penn State at halftime.

LIMITED BAG POLICY: Penn State has implemented a limited bag policy at all home athletic events this season. One clear plastic one-gallon plastic bag per person will be permitted for medical needs, child care needs and general items as needed. Items that can fit in a pocket should remain in patrons' pockets (i.e. keys, cell phone, wallet, glasses, camera, sunscreen, lip balm, make-up). General items of this nature, including those that don't fit in patrons' pocket, can also be placed in a clear plastic one-gallon plastic bag. All clear bags will be inspected through the bag and article check stations as in prior years.

RADIO/WEBSTREAM: The game is on the Penn State Sports Network and WRSC 1390 locally with Jerry Fisher and Julia Trogele calling the action. The audio feed is available at www.GoPSUsports.com. The game is available on the Big Ten Digital Network (BTDN) for a fee.

LAST TIME OUT: The Lady Lions struggled from the field, but still managed to make it a nine-point game with five minutes left, but top-ranked Connecticut pulled away late earned a 71-52 win Sunday in front of 8,194 fans at the Bryce Jordan Center. Senior guard Maggie Lucas tallied 18 points and five steals to become the sixth player in Lady Lion history to eclipse the 1,900-point mark. Junior forward/center Tori Waldner had a personal-best 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting. Fellow post player Talia East also had a solid outing with eight points and a team-high 10 rebounds.

SCOUTING BUCKNELL: The Bison are 1-2 on the season with their lone win coming against Binghamton. Audrey Dotson leads Bucknell in scoring (20.3) and rebounding (8.3), while Shelby Romine chips in 13.0 points, 5.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game. Claire DeBoer has also been a solid contributor for the Bison, accounting for 6.7 points and 7.0 boards.

ALL-TIME VERSUS THE BISON: The Lady Lions are a perfect 12-0 all-time against Bucknell with the most recent win coming in Lewisburg during the 2011-12 season. Penn State is 7-0 all-time in home games against the Bison, including a 96-48 victory on Dec. 28, 2010. The Lady Lions are 24-1 all-time against current Patriot League members.

LAST TIME VS. BU: The Lady Lions shot 50% (30-60) from the field and had all nine players score Penn State posted a 78-54 win over Bucknell on Dec. 21, 2011. Maggie Lucas was 7-for-10 from the field and a perfect 4-for-4 from three-point range on the way to a game-best 22 points. She also pulled in four rebounds and dished out three assists. Nikki Greene narrowly missed a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds, while Alex Bentley added 11 tallies, seven assists and four steals.

LUCAS LOOKING FOR LONG RANGE RECORD: Senior guard Maggie Lucas ranks second in Big Ten and Penn State history in three-point field goals made. Lucas has 301 triples in her collegiate career, trailing only Kelly Mazzante's Big Ten and Penn State record of 357 three-pointers. Lucas is just the second player in Big Ten history and 45th player in NCAA Division I history with 300 career three-pointers. She has made a triple in each of her last 38 contests, which is a school record. For her career, Lucas has connected on 43.4% of her shots from downtown, which ranks second in school history overall and first among Lady Lions with 75 or more career attempts.

DUO BLOCKING THE LANE: Senior center Talia East and junior center Tori Waldner have made it tough for opponents to find success in the lane as the pair have moved into the Top 20 in school history in blocks. East is tied for 18th in program history with 61 career rejections. She needs five blocks to move into a tie for 17th place with Adrie DeVries (66; 1987-90) and six rejections to move into a tie for 16th place with Janessa Wolff (2008-10). Waldner has 53 career blocks to sit 20th on the Lady Lions' career blocks list. She needs eight rejections to tie East and Wright for 18th place.

The Lady Lions head to the Bahamas for Thanksgiving where they will face Oregon State in the opening round of the Junkanoo Jam on Friday at 3:15 p.m. Penn State will then face either Florida or Illinois State in the champions/consolation game.
