UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The No. 10/13 Penn State women's lacrosse team (5-3, 1-0 ALC) will look for its fourth straight win when they face conference opponent Michigan (0-7, 0-3 ALC) for the first time Sunday, March 23 at the Penn State Lacrosse Field. Opening draw against the NCAA's newest team is set for 1 p.m.

HOW TO FOLLOW
A web stream, as well as live stats, will be accessible through GoPSUsports.com. A paid subscription through Penn State All-Access is needed to watch the stream.

LIMITED BAG POLICY
Penn State has implemented a limited bag policy at all home athletic events this season. One clear plastic one-gallon plastic bag per person will be permitted for medical needs, child care needs and general items as needed. Items that can fit in a pocket should remain in patrons' pockets (i.e. keys, cell phone, wallet, glasses, camera, sunscreen, lip balm, make-up). General items of this nature, including those that don't fit in patrons' pocket, can also be placed in a clear plastic one-gallon plastic bag.

NITTANY LIONS OPEN FINAL ALC SEASON WITH WIN
Led by junior Maggie McCormick's team-high four points and an eight-goal first half, the Nittany Lions opened their 13th and final season in the American Lacrosse Conference with a 14-8 victory against Vanderbilt at the VU Lacrosse Complex March 15.

Senior attacker Mackenzie Cyr recorded three points (2g, 1a) as she moved into 13th place on Penn State's career points list with 179. Freshman midfielder Abby Smucker matched her season high in points (3), while four Nittany Lions added two-point games.

Final Stats (PSU-VU): Shots (27-15), Saves (4-7), Ground Balls (16-15), Draw Controls (14-10), Turnovers (19-23), Caused Turnovers (10-5).

LIONS AMONG ALC LEADERS
Attackers Maggie McCormick (13) and Mackenzie Cyr (10) rank fourth and seventh, respectively, in the conference in assists. Defender Lauren Purvis has collected a conference-leading 1.50 caused turnovers per game. Midfielder Jenna Mosketti's 4.38 draw controls per game rank third, while midfielder Kelly Lechner ranks seventh in the conference with 17 goals

SCOUTING MICHIGAN
Michigan is led by freshman attacker Jess Angerman, who has a team-high 13 points (7g, 6a) through the Wolverines' first six games. Freshman goalkeeper Allison Silber started all six of those contests, compiling 58 saves and a 17.83 goals-against average.

PAIR EARN ALC WEEKLY HONORS
For the second week in a row, freshman midfielder Abby Smucker was named the ALC Rookie of the Week. She registered four goals and one assist in games against Rutgers and Vanderbilt.

Midfielder Kelly Lechner, was named the ALC Offensive Player of the Week after netting seven goals in the Nittany Lions' last two games. The Silver Spring, Md., native earned the honor for the second time in her career.

CYR HITTING HER STRIDE
In her last three outings, sophomore midfielder Madison Cyr has registered 11 points (8g, 3a). She currently ranks third on the team in points with 19 and is coming off a career-high six-point performance against then-No. 12 Loyola on March 8.

BALANCED ATTACK
Eight Nittany Lions have recorded at least 14 points in 2014. Six of those Nittany Lions - Kelly Lechner (17), Jenna Mosketti (16), Madison Cyr (15), Abby Smucker (14), Tatum Coffey (11), and Mackenzie Cyr (10) - have at least 10 goals.

PURVIS LEADING LIONS
Senior defender Lauren Purvis is the new team leader in caused turnovers with 12. In the Nittany Lions' last outing, Purvis caused a game-high four turnovers against ALC rival Vanderbilt.

DOHERTY SUCCESSFUL AT HOME
Penn State boasts a 22-7 home record under fourth-year head coach Missy Doherty. The Nittany Lions defeated Loyola, 18-11, in their last home game March 8.

LOOKING AHEAD
Penn State will return to action Wednesday, March 26 when it welcomes Drexel to the Penn State Lacrosse Field. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
