UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -Penn State Athletics announces 'Athletes for Athletes' for student-athlete involvement with all 31 varsity sports. Athletes for Athletes is a competition in which student-athletes are encouraged to share their best 'Penn Staties' via Twitter while supporting another Penn State team at an athletic event.
Student-athletes that share a photo using the hashtag #PennStatie will earn one point for their team. Photos can be a selfie or a snapshot of the group at a game.
Please note, one picture per team, per event will count toward each individual team's total but multiple pictures per event are encouraged.
The team with the most 'PennStaties' at the end of the academic year will be recognized at the Student-Athlete Advisory Board (SAAB) banquet where the team will be presented a prize.
The @GoPSUsports Twitter handle will provide frequent leaderboard updates.
Penn State is proud of the passion and support that our student-athletes display for the University and looks forward to a friendly competition.
