LADY LIONS AT THE BIG TEN TOURNAMENT
- The Lady Lions are 25-18 all-time in the Big Ten Tournament and claimed the first two tourney crowns in 1995 and 1996.
- Last season, Penn State was upset by #8 seed Ohio State in the quarterfinals, 99-82.
- This is the first time that the Big Ten Tournament will be a five-day tournament.
- The Lady Lions are 5-7 in the Big Ten Tournament under Coquese Washington.
- The Lady Lions are 1-1 in Big Ten Tournament games played in Hoffman Estates.
LAST TIME OUT
- Senior Tori Waldner made the most of her final game in the blue and white - albeit wearing pink and blue in honor of Pink Zone - by scoring 12 points in the Lady Lions' 62-56 loss to Wisconsin on Sunday.
- The Lady Lions had 730 breast cancer survivors registered, but due to inclement weather only had 657 survivors on hand to be honored at halftime.
- Waldner converted a layup off of an assist from Sierra Moore to knot the score with 9:27, but Wisconsin scored eight straight points to grab the momentum and eventually the victory.
- Moore posted her third career double-double with a team-best 17 points and a career-high 14 rebounds, while handing out four assists to tie for the team lead.
- Eleven of Moore's 17 points came in the second half, with the sophomore adding eight rebounds and three assists over the final 20 minutes.
- Waldner shook off the emotions of Senior Day to score 12 points, including the first basket of the game, to go along with four rebounds and two steals.
- Peyton Whitted pulled down her 200th career rebound with her first board of the contest and ended the day with four points and five rebounds.
- Kaliyah Mitchell tied her career-high with four assists and chipped in eight points and six rebounds, while Jenny DeGraaf scored nine points and contributed seven rebounds.
SCOUTING INDIANA
- The Hoosiers are 14-15 overall and 4-14 in Big Ten play.
- Sophomore Larryn Brooks leads Indiana in scoring (11.9) and assists (3.9).
- Freshman Tyra Buss has been an immediate contributor for the Hoosiers, averaging 11.4 points and 3.4 rebounds per game.
- Amanda Cahill is the third Hoosier averaging double figures with an 10.6 mark and a team-best 7.9 rebounding mark.
- Indiana averages 7.7 three-pointers per game, which ranks third in the Big Ten, led by Brooks with 55 triples this season.
ALL-TIME VERSUS THE HOOSIERS
- The Lady Lions are 32-9 all-time against Indiana, including wins in the last seven outings.
- Penn State is 3-1 in Big Ten Tournament meetings, but haven't faced the Hoosiers in the postseason since 2004.
- The last time the teams met in the Big Ten Tournament, Penn State picked up a 79-66 win on March 5, 2004 thanks in part to 25 points from Kelly Mazzante and 22 tallies from Tanisha Wright.
- The Lady Lions won the only meeting between the teams this season with a 79-75 victory on Jan. 22.
LAST TIME VERSUS IU
- Behind five players in double figures and a double-double by sophomore Kaliyah Mitchell, the Lady Lions edged Indiana, 79-75, on Jan. 22.
- The Lady Lions saw five players reach double figures for the first time since Feb. 2, 2014 at Northwestern.
- As a team, Penn State dished out a season-best with 20 assists and tied their season-low with 12 turnovers.
- Mitchell pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds and tied her personal best with 20 points for her second career double-double.
- Sophomore Sierra Moore flirted with a triple-double as she scored 15 points, grabbed eight rebounds and handed out seven assists.
- Peyton Whitted tallied a career-best 12 points and added four rebounds, two blocked shots and two steals.
- For the fourth-straight game, junior Candice Agee reached double figures with 13 points and posted career bests of four assists and four steals. She also pulled down six rebounds.
MOORE DOUBLE-DOUBLES
- Sophomore Sierra Moore posted her third career double-double with 17 points and a career-high 14 rebounds against Wisconsin on Sunday.
- All three of her double-doubles have come this season: USF (12/21/14) and Seton Hall (11/22/14).
- Moore scored 17 points to reach the 400-point milestone for her collegiate career.
- She also nabbed a career-high 14 rebounds versus the Badgers, besting her previous high of 10 rebounds against USF.
- This season, Moore has 11 games with at least 10 points, five rebounds, and four assists.
- Moore played a team-high 38 minutes against the Badgers and has logged 37 or more minutes in 14 games in 2014-15.
- Moore led the Lady Lions in points, rebounds, and assists against Wisconsin. She is the second Lady Lion to accomplish the feat this season as Lindsey Spann accomplished the feat against Michigan State on Feb. 11, 2015.
WALDNER'S SOLID SENIOR DAY
- Senior Tori Waldner did not disappoint in her final performance in the Bryce Jordan Center against Wisconsin on March 1.
- She connected on 6-of-9 shots en route to 12 points for her third double-digit outing in the last four games.
- Fittingly, Waldner scored the game's first points on a jumper in Penn State's first possession.
