UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - The Nittany Lions women's golf team will travel from Miami to northern Florida to participate in the Gator Invitational, hosted by the University of Florida, this weekend. The three-day tournament will be played from Friday, March 6 - Sunday, March 8. The event will take place at the Mark Bostick Golf Course, which plays 6,701 yards with a par of 70.
Penn State is among 15 teams competing including: Arizona, Clemson, Denver, FIU, Florida, Florida State, GRU, Kent State, Missouri, NC State, Ohio State, Tulane, UCF, and UTSA.
Senior Ellen Ceresko (Jefferson Township, Pa.) will lead the team after a 39th place finish at the Hurricane Invitational. Senior Katlyn Elliott (Peterborough, Ontario) and junior Elyse Archambault (St-Jean-sur-Rich,Quebec) also both finished in the top 40 of the Hurricane Invitational and will look to back up their impressive performances with another solid three days of play.
Senior Catherine Hererra (Houston, Texas) and junior Grace Chung (Richmond Hill,Toronto) will also remain in the lineup, while junior Halley Morell (Brecksville, Ohio) will again participate as an individual.
First round tee times will commence at 9 a.m. Friday with teams going off both the first and 10th hole.
