Field Hockey Adds 10th Member to Incoming Class

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Head coach Charlene Morett-Curtiss announced the addition of goalkeeper Colleen Conway to the incoming Penn State field hockey class Monday, bringing the total membership of the Class of 2019 to 10.

Conway was an all-state goalkeeper in New Jersey for Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child. She posted a 72-4 record with 51 shutouts.

Honors and Highlights: Three-year starter for three-time state champion Oak Knoll team ... Posted a 72-4 career record in 76 starts with 51 shutouts ... Allowed just 24 goals and made 209 saves ... Named all-region (New Jersey) by the NFHCA in 2014 ... Named first-team all-state, non-public and second team all-state as a senior ... Two-time first- team All-Union County and All-Union County Athletic Conference (2013-14) ... Honorable mention All-UCAC as a sophomore Team also claimed three conference championships and four county championships ... Was team captain for The Edge U16 team, Jan. 2012-Dec. 2013 ... Current member of New Heights U19 team ... Also a member of the varsity swim team as a junior and senior.

Morett-Curtiss on Conway: "Colleen Conway is a highly talented goalkeeper. She has contributed to both the success of her high school and club teams as a tough goalie to beat. Colleen has tremendous poise and knowledge of the position which will make for a smooth transition to the college game. Colleen is always looking to improve her play and remains very active in the club and futures program. We are really looking forward to her coming in this summer to prepare herself for the challenging season ahead."

In November, Morett-Curtiss announced the first nine members of the class: Gina Bramley (Elizabethtown, Pa.), Katie Dembrowski (Palmyra, Pa.), Cassie Kline (Millersville, Pa.), Emily Klingler (Selinsgrove, Pa.), Lauren McNally (Marmora, N.J.), Aurelia Meijer (Hattem, Netherlands), Jennifer Rizzo (Hershey, Pa.), Mary Nell Smith (Dauphin, Pa.) and Lisa Winters (Hershey, Pa.)
