WINTHROP, Mass. -- The Penn State women's hockey team has been picked fourth in the College Hockey America (CHA) Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon. The Nittany Lions received 12 points in the poll, four points shy of RIT.
Penn State hosts the University of Guelph this Thursday at 7 p.m. for an exhibition contest at the Pegula Ice Arena.
Heading into the 2015-16 season, Penn State returns 23 letterwinners, nine of its top-10 scorers and 91 percent of its scoring from last season.
The Nittany Lions embark on their third season at Pegula Ice Arena with a 16-game regular season slate. Purchases can be made over the phone (1-800-NITTANY, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.) or by visiting the Bryce Jordan Center ticket office (Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.). A Nittany Lion Club donation is not required for season tickets and parking is complimentary to all games.
The Family 4-Pack is also returning to Pegula Ice Arena for the 2015-16 women's hockey season. For $30, fans can purchase four tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas. (Only available select home games, visit GoPSUsports.com for a listing of dates.)
The 2015-16 regular season starts with Penn State hosting the defending national champions, Minnesota Golden Gophers, Oct. 1-2.
