UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Following a series split against then-No. 7/8 Boston University last weekend in Boston, Mass., the Penn State women's hockey team returns home for a two-game series against Union. The Nittany Lions host the Dutchwomen Saturday at 7 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m.

BAG POLICY

Fans are reminded that bags may be subject to search upon entrance to the Pegula Ice Arena.

WEEKEND PROMOTIONS
Fans with a ticket stub from Friday night's men's hockey game can attend Saturday's game for two dollars. Also, fans with a ticket stub from Friday or Saturday's men's hockey game can attend Sunday's game for two dollars.

Sunday's game is a Family 4-Pack game. For $30, fans can purchase four tickets, four hot dogs and four soft drinks.

Following the conclusion of Sunday's game fans will be able to partake in a post-game skate with the team.

SCOUTING THE DUTCHWOMEN (0-1-2)
Last weekend, Union defeated Carleton, 6-1, in an exhibition contest.

Prior to the Carleton game, Union played to a 2-2 tie against UConn on Oct. 3.

Offensively, Kathryn Tomaselli leads the Dutchwomen with two goals, while Alli Devins and Elizabeth Otten have tallied two assists apiece for Union.

In net, Melissa Black has made 79 saves and allowed four goals in 130:00 minutes of play.

Union began the 2015 season with a 2-2 tie and a 3-0 loss to Minnesota State - Mankato.

LAST SERIES RECAP
Last weekend, Penn State traveled to Boston, Mass. for a two-game series against the No. 7/8 Boston University Terriers. This was first-ever meeting between PSU and BU.

In the series-opening game, Penn State topped BU, 5-3, for its third win over a ranked team in program history.

The Nittany Lions attacked first in the opener, as Laura Bowman scored 43 seconds into the game.

During the first 10:14 of the game, Penn State tacked on three goals, including Bella Sutton's sixth career power play goal.

In the third period, Penn State tallied a pair of goals in a 40 second span.

Down the stretch, the Nittany Lions withstood the BU pressure and held on for the 5-3 victory.

In the series-finale, Penn State opened up the scoring again, this time, 7:49 into the second period.

The Terriers responded with a pair of goals late in the second period and added a goal in the third period to secure the 3-1 victory.

In net, Celine Whitlinger made 38 saves on Friday night and Hannah Ehresmann tallied 34 saves on Saturday afternoon.

SUTTON EXCELS ON THE POWER PLAY
Bella Sutton tallied her sixth career power play goal last weekend against No. 7/8 Boston University. The sophomore is tied for third all-time at Penn State in power play goals.

ALL-TIME SAVES RECORD
Celine Whitlinger is 30 saves shy of setting the Penn State women's hockey all-time saves record. Nicole Paniccia holds the Nittany Lion all-time saves record with 1,801.

100 GAMES
In the season-opener against Minnesota, Jill Holdcroft became the seventh Nittany Lion to skate in 100 career games. Micayla Catanzariti is on pace to become the eighth Nittany Lion to eclipse the 100-game mark (94).

NITTANY LION ATTACK
Last weekend against No. 7/8 Boston University, the Nittany Lions scored five goals in a game for the tenth time in program history.

STARTING OUT FAST
On Oct. 9, 2015, against No. 7/8 BU, Laura Bowman scored 43 seconds into the game, which is three seconds shy of tying the program record for the fastest goal to start a game. The record, held by Bowman, was set on Oct. 26, 2013, against New Hampshire.

WEEKLY HONORS
For the seventh time in her career, senior Celine Whitlinger received the College Hockey America Goaltender of the Week award. Whitlinger tallied 41 saves against the top-ranked Minnesota Golden Gophers.

NCAA RANKINGS
Heading into the Union series, Celine Whitlinger is tied for seventh in save percentage (.952) and ranks 15th in goals against average (2.02).

Freshman Hannah England is tied for 21st among rookies in points per game (.67).

PRESEASON COACHES' POLL
The Penn State women's hockey team has been picked fourth in the College Hockey America (CHA) Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced by the conference office Sept. 21. The Nittany Lions received 12 points in the poll, four points shy of RIT.

The Nittany Lions continue their homestand next week with a two-game series against UConn (Oct. 24-25).
