Nittany Lions in the NFL -- Week Seven

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - A total of 25 Penn State football alumni are populating the active rosters of 18 National Football League teams. The Nittany Lions annually are among the top 20 programs nationally in producing players in the NFL. Each week throughout the year, GoPSUsports.com will provide updates on the exploits of these former Nittany Lion greats.

Allen Robinson, Navorro Bowman and Cameron Wake had big games in Week 7. Robinson had six receptions for 98 yards and a touchdown against the Bills, while Bowman recorded 10 tackles against the Seahawks. Additionally, Wake had two sacks against the Texans to move into fourth place on the NFL's sack list for the season.

The Bears had a bye in Week 7.

Deion Barnes, (2012-14), DE, New York Jets

Barnes is on the practice squad for the Jets.

Brad Bars, (2011-14), DE, New York Giants
Giants 27, Cowboys 20
Bars is on the practice squad for the Giants.

Navorro Bowman, (2007-09), LB, San Francisco 49ers
Seahawks 20, 49ers 3
Bowman recorded 10 tackles, including six solo, against the Seahawks. Bowman is second in the league with 69 tackles.

Jack Crawford, (2008-11), DT, Dallas Cowboys
Giants 27, Cowboys 20
Crawford tied a season-high two tackles against the Giants. He also recorded his third sack on the season for an 8-yard loss.

Garry Gilliam, (2010-12), T, Seattle Seahawks

Was active in the game against the 49ers.

Robbie Gould, (2001-04), K, Chicago Bears
The Bears had a bye in Week 7.

Tamba Hali, (2002-05), LB, Kansas City Chiefs
Chiefs 23, Steelers 13
Hali tied a season-high five tackles in the Chiefs win over the Steelers. He also had two sacks and a forced fumble in the win. Hali now has forced at least one fumble in each of his 10 seasons in the NFL.

Jordan Hill, (2009-12), DT, Seattle Seahawks
Seahawks 20, 49ers 3
Hill was inactive against the 49ers due to a strained quadricep muscle. Hill is expected to be out 2-4 weeks.

Hodges recorded his first tackle as 49er.

Mike Hull, (2011-13), LB, Miami Dolphins

Hull is on the practice squad for the Dolphins.

James was inactive against the Chiefs.

Posluszny recorded seven tackles and grabbed his second interception of the season in the Jaguars' win over the Bills. Posluszny is tied for 10th in the NFL in tackles (56) despite missing a game due to injury.

Andrew Quarless, (2006-09), TE, Green Bay Packers
Packers had a bye in Week 7.
Quarless was placed on injured reserved. The next time he is eligible to play is Thanksgiving night against the Bears. Quarless suffered a sprain knee in Week 3 against the Chiefs.

Shipley started at fullback against the Ravens.

Donovan Smith, (2012-14), OT, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Smith started at left tackle against the Redskins. He helped the Bucs accumulate nearly 500 yards of total offense against Washington.

Nate Stupar, (2008-11), LB, Atlanta Falcons

Stupar had one tackle against the Titans.

Johnnie Troutman, (2009-11), OG, San Diego Chargers

Troutman has been placed on the season-ending injured reserve after breaking his forearm in early August.

John Urschel, (2011-13), OL, Baltimore Ravens
Cardinals 26, Ravens 18
Urschel saw action against the Cardinals.

Cameron Wake, (2000, 02-04) DE, Miami Dolphins
Dolphins 44, Texans 26
Wake had two sacks and two forced fumbles to help the Dolphins beat the Texans. He has six sacks in the last two games. Wake is tied for fourth in the NFL with 6.0 sacks.
