UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - A total of 25 Penn State football alumni are populating the active rosters of 18 National Football League teams. The Nittany Lions annually are among the top 20 programs nationally in producing players in the NFL. Each week throughout the year, GoPSUsports.com will provide updates on the exploits of these former Nittany Lion greats.
Jesse James played in his first NFL game on Sunday, grabbing two receptions for 13 yards and a touchdown to help the Steelers beat the Raiders. Michael Mauti started for the first time this season and recorded a season-high 10 tackles, including six solo, against the Titans.
Adrian Amos, (2011-14), FS, Chicago Bears
Bears 22, Chargers 19
Amos started at safety. He had three tackles and one pass defense in the Bears win over the Chargers.
Deion Barnes, (2012-14), DE, New York Jets

Barnes is on the practice squad for the Jets.

Bars is on the practice squad for the Giants.
Navorro Bowman, (2007-09), LB, San Francisco 49ers

Bowman started at linebacker and recorded seven tackles, including six solo, against the Falcons. He also registered a sack, two tackles for loss, three quarterback hurries and a pass defense. Bowman is second in the league with 88 tackles.

Crawford was active against the Eagles.
Garry Gilliam, (2010-12), T, Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks had a bye in Week 9.
Robbie Gould, (2001-04), K, Chicago Bears

Gould made both of his extra point attempts. However, he missed a pair of field goal attempts, marking the first time since 2013 that he missed two field goals attempts in a game. He has only missed two field goal attempts in a game three times in his 11-year career.

The Chiefs had a bye in Week 9.
Jordan Hill, (2009-12), DT, Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks had a bye in Week 9.

Hodges recorded one tackle against the Falcons.

Hull is on the practice squad for the Dolphins.

In his first NFL game, James had two catches for 13 yards and a touchdown in a win over the Raiders. James' first career reception was a 9-yard catch in the first quarter. He then caught a 4-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter to give the Steelers a 35-21 lead.

Jones had five tackles against in the Titans' win over the Saints.

Lee had five tackles against the Eagles. He is tied for 12th in the NFL with 66 tackles.

Posluszny started at middle linebacker and had seven tackles, including one tackle for loss, against the Jets. He also had a quarterback hurry.

Quarless was placed on injured reserved. The next time he is eligible to play is Thanksgiving night against the Bears. Quarless suffered a sprain knee in Week 3 against the Chiefs.
Allen Robinson, (2011-13), WR, Jacksonville Jaguars

Robinson had six receptions for 121 yards against the Jets. He is eighth in the NFL with 707 receiving yards and tied for sixth with six receiving touchdowns.

Smith started at left tackle against the Giants.

Troutman has been placed on the season-ending injured reserve after breaking his forearm in early August.

Wake tore his Achilles against New England and has been placed on season-ending injured reserve. He is tied for fourth in the NFL with 7.0 sacks and leads the league with for forced fumbles.

Wisniewski started at center against the Jets. He blocked for Blake Bortles, who threw for 381 yards and two touchdowns.
