Nittany Lions in the NFL -- Week 12

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - A total of 25 Penn State football alumni are populating the active rosters of 18 National Football League teams. The Nittany Lions annually are among the top 20 programs nationally in producing players in the NFL. Each week throughout the year, GoPSUsports.com will provide updates on the exploits of these former Nittany Lion greats.

Fans can vote their favorite Nittany Lions into the Pro Bowl from now until December 15 at http://www.nfl.com/probowl/ballot.

Adrian Amos recorded a career and season-high nine tackles, including eight solo, in the Bears' win over the Packers on Thanksgiving. Navorro Bowman had eight tackles against the Cardinals and is now second in the league with 105 tackles on the season. Sean Lee and Paul Posluszny each recorded 11 tackles for their respective teams.

Amos started at safety and recorded a season and career-high nine tackles against the Packers, including eight solo tackles.

Barnes is on the practice squad for the Jets.

Bars is on the practice squad for the Giants.

Navorro Bowman, (2007-09), LB, San Francisco 49ers

Bowman recorded eight tackles against the Cardinals. He is second in the NFL with 105 tackles on the season.

Jack Crawford, (2008-11), DT, Dallas Cowboys
Panthers 33, Cowboys 14
Crawford had one tackle for a 2-yard loss against the Panthers.

Garry Gilliam, (2010-12), T, Seattle Seahawks
Seahawks 39, Steelers 30
Gilliam started at right tackle and played every offensive snap against the Steelers. He cleared the way for Russell Wilson for 345 yards and five touchdowns.

Robbie Gould, (2001-04), K, Chicago Bears

Gould made his only field goal attempt from 21 yards out and two extra points to help the Bears beat the Packers on Thanksgiving.

Tamba Hali, (2002-05), LB, Kansas City Chiefs
Chiefs 30, Bills 22
Hali started at linebacker and recorded four tackles, including a 5-yard sack, in the Chiefs' win over the Bills. He also had three quarterback hurries and a forced fumble.

Jordan Hill, (2009-12), DT, Seattle Seahawks

Hill played 71 percent of the defensive snaps in the Seahawks' win over the Steelers.

Hodges recorded one tackle for loss against the Cardinals.

Mike Hull, (2011-13), LB, Miami Dolphins

After playing in two games, Hull was waived and signed back to the Dolphins' practice squad.

James had one catch for eight yards and caught a pass for a two-point conversion against the Seahawks.

Jones started at defensive end and had one tackle and a fumble recovery against the Raiders. He also had one quarterback hurry.

Lee started at linebacker and had 11 tackles and one pass defense against the Panthers on Thanksgiving.

Mauti had seven tackles, including one tackle for loss, against the Texans.

Norwood was inactive against the Patriots. He missed the last two practices due to his hamstring injury and the birth of his daughter.

Odrick started at defensive end and had one sack for a 7-yard loss against the Chargers.

Posluszny started at middle linebacker and had game-high 11 solo tackles against the Chargers. Posluszny moved to sixth in the NFL with 91 tackles.

Andrew Quarless, (2006-09), TE, Green Bay Packers

Quarless has returned to the practice field after injuring his knee in Week 3 against the Chiefs. He was not active Thanksgiving day against the Bears.

Allen Robinson, (2011-13), WR, Jacksonville Jaguars

Robinson had five receptions for 56 yards and a touchdown against the Chargers. He is eighth in the NFL with 926 receiving yards and tied for sixth with eight receiving touchdowns.

Shipley started at tight end for the second start of the season against the 49ers.

Smith started at left tackle against the Colts and blocked for Jameis Winston, who threw for 245 yards and a touchdown.

Stupar recorded two tackles against the Vikings.

Johnnie Troutman, (2009-11), OG, San Diego Chargers

Troutman has been placed on the season-ending injured reserve after breaking his forearm in early August.

John Urschel, (2011-13), OL, Baltimore Ravens

Urschel started his second game of the season to help the Ravens' beat the Browns.

Wake tore his Achilles against New England and has been placed on season-ending injured reserve. He ended the season with 7.0 sacks and four forced fumbles.

Stefen Wisniewski, (2007-10), C, Jacksonville Jaguars

Wisniewski started at center against the Chargers. He blocked for Blake Bortles, who threw for 329 yards and two touchdowns.
