Nittany Lions in the NFL -- Week 12

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - A total of 25 Penn State football alumni are populating the active rosters of 18 National Football League teams. The Nittany Lions annually are among the top 20 programs nationally in producing players in the NFL. Each week throughout the year, GoPSUsports.com will provide updates on the exploits of these former Nittany Lion greats.

Adrian Amos recorded a career and season-high nine tackles, including eight solo, in the Bears' win over the Packers on Thanksgiving. Navorro Bowman had eight tackles against the Cardinals and is now second in the league with 105 tackles on the season. Sean Lee and Paul Posluszny each recorded 11 tackles for their respective teams.

Amos started at safety and recorded a season and career-high nine tackles against the Packers, including eight solo tackles.

Barnes is on the practice squad for the Jets.

Bars is on the practice squad for the Giants.

Bowman recorded eight tackles against the Cardinals. He is second in the NFL with 105 tackles on the season.

Crawford had one tackle for a 2-yard loss against the Panthers.

Garry Gilliam, (2010-12), T, Seattle Seahawks

Gilliam started at right tackle and played every offensive snap against the Steelers. He cleared the way for Russell Wilson for 345 yards and five touchdowns.

Robbie Gould, (2001-04), K, Chicago Bears

Gould made his only field goal attempt from 21 yards out and two extra points to help the Bears beat the Packers on Thanksgiving.

Hali started at linebacker and recorded four tackles, including a 5-yard sack, in the Chiefs' win over the Bills. He also had three quarterback hurries and a forced fumble.

Hill played 71 percent of the defensive snaps in the Seahawks' win over the Steelers.

Hodges recorded one tackle for loss against the Cardinals.

After playing in two games, Hull was waived and signed back to the Dolphins' practice squad.

Quarless has returned to the practice field after injuring his knee in Week 3 against the Chiefs. He was not active Thanksgiving day against the Bears.

Allen Robinson, (2011-13), WR, Jacksonville Jaguars

Robinson had five receptions for 56 yards and a touchdown against the Chargers. He is eighth in the NFL with 926 receiving yards and tied for sixth with eight receiving touchdowns.

Shipley started at tight end for the second start of the season against the 49ers.

Troutman has been placed on the season-ending injured reserve after breaking his forearm in early August.
