CAMBRIDGE, MA
- The Nittany Lions secured their sixth-straight win and fifth-straight sweep of the season Friday night at the Malkin Athletic Center against the Harvard Crimson (25-23, 25-21, 25-21) to move to 7-2, 2-0 on the season.


Chris Nugent and Aiden Albrecht would lead the way offensively for the Nittany Lions as Nugent would finish the night with 19 kills followed up by Albrecht's 13 kills. Nugent and Albrecht would finish the night with hitting percentages of .433 and .474, respectively.

Taylor Hammond would lead the team with 41 assist while also adding a team high four blocks as well. Royce Clemens would help out on the defense by finishing the night with a game high 12 digs.

Penn State would have to battle their way back in the first set after being down as much as six to the Crimson trailing 12-6.
Mark Pavlik's squad would battle back to tie things up at 21-21 late in the set on the hills of a 15-9 run.

The Nittany Lions would take the lead the next play on a kill from Aiden Albrecht. Another Penn State point would bring the lead to two as the Lions led 23-21 forcing Harvard to take a timeout.


Penn State would continue to put points on the board as they closed out the set 25-23 to take a 1-0 lead.

The second and third sets would mirror the first set as Harvard would keep things close before a late set rally by the Nittany Lions would close out each set.


Penn State finished the night with 45 kills hitting .314 as a team. The Nittany Lions have now won 15-consecutive sets, having last dropped a set on Jan. 16 to Lewis in a five set win over Lewis.

The Nittany Lions will return to the court tomorrow night as they travel to Fairfield, CT for a 7 p.m. matchup with Sacred Heart.
