BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Penn State women's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to nine games with a 1-1 draw against the Indiana Hoosiers Thursday night at Bill Armstrong Stadium. Frannie Crouse (Greensburg, Pa.) scored her ninth goal of the 2016 campaign and her 30th career goal in the contest.

Crouse put the Nittany Lions (8-2-3, 4-0-2) up 1-0 during the eighth minute of play on an assist from Megan Schafer (Langhorne, Pa.) and Salina Williford (Wayne, Pa.). Williford and Schafer connected on a pass before Schafer took one touch and played the ball to Crouse on the left side of the penalty area. From the left side of the penalty area, Crouse fired a shot past Indiana goalkeeper Sarah L'Hommedieu and into the bottom-right corner of the net.

With under four minutes remaining in the first half, the Hoosiers (5-7-2, 2-3-1) tied the match at one on an own goal.

After tallying only two shot attempts in the first half of play, the Nittany Lions outshot the Hoosiers, 12-2, in the second half. The Nittany Lions also recorded 10 corner kicks during the final 45 minutes of regulation.

Williford looked to put the Nittany Lions up 2-1 in the closing minutes of the second half, as she hit the right post from outside the penalty area with under eight minutes to play in regulation.

L'Hommedieu recorded four of her seven saves on the night in the second half, including a pair of saves on sophomore Charlotte Williams (Rochester, N.Y.).

The first period of overtime featured L'Hommedieu making a save on Marissa Sheva (Sellersville, Pa.) in the 97th minute and a save on Williams in the 100th minute of play.

The Blue and White also posted a pair of shot attempts in the second overtime period, but L'Hommedieu was there to stop Williford's third shot attempt of the night at 107:03 and with seconds remaining in the game, Brittany Basinger (Purcellville, Va.) headed the ball over the IU goal, sealing the 1-1 draw.

The Nittany Lions continue their weekend road trip at Maryland on Sunday, Oct. 9, at 1 p.m. at Ludwig Field.
